leave it to a canucks blogger to talk about Hossa selling a penalty with the crap that Kesler pulled last night
Hossa was really selling it hard I guess, not returning and all after scoring 2 goals! |
|

I'm done - I've made my point.
You can all rally behind a completely biased blogger and one that I certainly can never take seriously because well.. he's biased.
Ian: You should be ashamed you actually posted that. The fact that the NHL has him coming in less than 24 hours after the game/hit for a disciplinary hearing shows how foolish what you posted is.
Carry on. |

On a side note, I hope Hossa's ok! He's a helluva player. |

- Because these "hits" consistently happen against the Canucks and against the Hawks top forwards/defenseman with the Canucks consistently targeting those players.
- 3 years = period of this particular rivalry with both teams being near the top of the West. - CaptainBlackhawk
Wow, you mean to tell me that the top players are being hit more?
Is this some kind of new trend in the NHL? |

Questionable is a term I'm using for what you Canuck fans love to call "hockey plays" that are obviously not remotely questionable but completely dirty hits.
The hit on Toews can be argued a number of ways. The point is very simple: Mitchell knew what he was doing against one of the best Hawk forwards.. note: Not named Brookbank, Frolik, Bolig etc. - CaptainBlackhawk
This is stupid. You say that you're talking about dirty hits against star players, and then use a clean hit to make your point? Well done. |

As mentioned during the game... the Hawks took 3 dives last night, the Canucks 1.

So how would people feel if the NHL took out body-checking and encouraged more hugging?
I think that may be the wave of the future. |

Again - you're completely missing my point. But that's OK - live in your little Canuck biased bubble and pawn yourself off as a "non-biased" blogger and tell us again how Hossa was flopping and the hit wasn't dirty.
The fact that the NHL called the guy in less than 24 hours after the hit/game shows how moronic your line of thinking is. I have a new term for it: Canuck thinking. Where it is so backasswards you almost WANT to believe it is the truth. |

Do you honestly think that if I go back in history I'm not gonna find any "questionable" plays made by current/former Hawk players? COME ON, it's a tough game, put your big boy panties on!!! - LeftCoaster
Carcillo had one in EDM last year. I fully support he was wrong with that hit. If Bollig hit kelser like that, I would be calling for Bollig to get a suspension. I never said intent to injure was there. The fact that it happened continues what appears to be a trend. To quote DarkKane on JJ's board "Sedin getting a head injury is a capital offense, Hossa getting one is just a hockey play." A head shot is a head shot. Torres gave Seabrook one a couple of years ago while playing for a BC city. Difference being, that in the past 2 years, this has been a common occurance. A Chicago player gets hit with a "hockey play" and that is "ok". A Hawk player makes a retalitory boneheaded play causing the same results, some fans call for a year long suspension. Why the exception? |

There is room for hits like the beauty that Bolland laid on Kesler last night. Clean hits are good, when joints and/or heads are the impact point, that is what hurts people and ends careers. There is no need for those. |

Except your fellow blogger JJ reports this morning that his sources are telling him that Hossa presented concussion symptoms last night.
But hey.. he laid on the ice hoping to get a call. Again - we'll just call it "Canuck thinking". |

Not at all...
But certainly someone that gives you and your fellow Canuck fans nightmares because he consistently makes two of your best players non factors in most games played. You have a reason to dislike him! |

Toews does not have the puck, Mitchel blindsided him before the puck arrives. You decide.

Here is a story about one of the Sedin's wielding an elbow to Dustin Brown. Hansen elbows Hossa.
That is a lot of elbows flying around. - ikeane
Brown is one of the biggest divers in the league - that elbow barely touched him. |
