So you mean to tell me someone slashed Bolland?

Why would anyone do that?

He's such a nice honest player.

He's the best. He's so good he's even in your head.

Carcillo had one in EDM last year. I fully support he was wrong with that hit. If Bollig hit kelser like that, I would be calling for Bollig to get a suspension. I never said intent to injure was there. The fact that it happened continues what appears to be a trend. To qutoe DarkKane on JJ's board "Sedin getting a head injury is a capital offense, Hossa getting one is just a hockey play." A head shot is a head shot. Torres gave Seabrook one a couple of years ago while playing for a BC city. Difference being, that in the past 2 years, this has been a common occurance. A Chicago player gets hit with a "hockey play" and that is "ok". A Hawk player makes a retalitory boneheaded play causing the same results, some fans call for a year long suspension. Why the exception?
- ikeane

I'll give you this, the Torres hit on Seabrook was a dirty hit by a dirty player who no longer plays here. Seabrook was in a vulnerable position and Torres took advantage of that. That's the history of the player, not the team.

Mitchell's hit on Toews was a clean hit on an unsuspecting player who just received the puck, nothing wrong with it at the time. If that were to happen NOW, the rules are different and he would face a fine or suspension.

Again - you're completely missing my point. But that's OK - live in your little Canuck biased bubble and pawn yourself off as a "non-biased" blogger and tell us again how Hossa was flopping and the hit wasn't dirty.

The fact that the NHL called the guy in less than 24 hours after the hit/game shows how moronic your line of thinking is. I have a new term for it: Canuck thinking. Where it is so backasswards you almost WANT to believe it is the truth.

- CaptainBlackhawk

Watch the Sedins play for a week and tell me how many times they are targeted. Funny thing is you don't hear a whole lot of whining about it from Canucks fans.

You don't!?! LOL!!! Pathetic... HA!!!!

Except every single top Hawk forward and defenseman is consistently targeted by the Canucks. Again - a culture perpetuated by a former hack/goon player now head coach.

Bury your head in the sand and actually attempt to blog that Hossa might have tried to sell a call & then actually be serious when posting that Canuck fans don't whine and cry ALL THE TIME about the Sedin's being targeted.

Canuck speak/thinking at its best - good work!

What about Bolland's cheap shot on Higgins?

You guys in Chicago are hilarious.

- Scooby_Doo

Moving on from the elementary school drama, hits like Lucic on Miller, Keith on Sedin, Torres on Hossa, Torres on Seabrook, Hansen on Hossa are all potentially career threatening. Crosby missed most of last year from a "light hit" like Hossa got last night. Head shots should be punished. Period. These endanger the health of the players we like watching.

In response to your Bolland hit on Higgins I do agree there were plenty of questionable calls on both sides but notice who was gone after in the 2 hits we are discussing: Possible target of cheap shot by Hawks player: Higgins. Possible target of cheap shot by Canucks player: Hossa. I think this reinforces CAPT Blackhawks's point.

Take emotion out of it and tell me what was worse, Hansen's hit on Hossa or Setoguchi's cross-check on Quincey?

In regards to our biased blogger
I thought every teams blogger was biased towards their team. He always predicts a win for Canucks, and as a fan I always want them to win as well, and I do understand we will not go 82-0 (or 48-0). Questions are raised about changes that need to be made to the team, or adjustments made. I know I would not read about my team if it was some Ahole complaining about everything all the time. I don't mind calling players/management/coaches out, and some times it needs to be done more.

In regards to the other teams posters
I don't go into other peoples houses and female dog and complain about shyte they say, do or have opinions on, I complain about them in my house. If you want to complain and whine about stuff, do it in your own blog. If you don't like the homerism here then don't come. It's like watching coachs corner, I know Cherry is biased and will always be proleafs, and it is my choice to watch, I know what I am getting into.

In regards to Hansen,
I don't think it was malicious, I feel bad an injury happened, hope he is okay, is an elite level player at times. I think NHL will do something to Hansen because of the public outcry. I do not feel the Hansen hit is as bad as things we have seen this year.

An old baseball manager once said... "you hit one of my players, I'll hit two of yours"...

I think NHL players should go after stars instead of going after the same guy for pay back. If Carcillo cheap shots one of our stars, what's the point in going after him, go after one of your stars. Eye for an eye.

You hit Sedin, we hit Hossa... star for a star.

The fact their head coach was a complete hack and goon as a player completely falls in line with what I've posted here today.

The dirty Sedin hit on Keith earlier in the game before the elbow, have you ever seen them injure some one in their whole career from a "hard" hit. I rarely see the twins knock someone down or retaliate, and they put up with more abuse than most of the other top players in the game.

I am too busy laughing at his comment on Canuck fans not whining about hits on the Sedins when I've heard about a thousand gripes this morning alone about Keith's hit LAST season. I don't know how you could consider this blog biased at all.

expecting anything less out of canuck fans regarding their comments and this blog... would be naive. you're setting yourself up for a let down but at least impartial hockey fans realize how pathetic their justifications really are.

just glad we tied the record against them, that feels good

Downright pathetic that you can actually argue that Hossa might have laid on the ice to embellish after a hit like that and then actually argue the hit wasn't dirty.. all the while the news about the NHL calling Hansen into their offices less than 24 hours after the game/hit was already out in the public.

Glad we did - and glad it's been obvious this year between the two teams who actually is better!

JJ reports from his sources - and he does have them - that he is presenting concussion like symptoms and will be re evaluated this morning by the team.

Thanks, I saw that from last night, but I wasn't sure if there were any updates this morning yet. Will likely be taken into account at the hearing.

I heard that Hossa was fine after the game. I believe the quote was straight from coach Q.

that being said concussions are an odd thing though. one minute you're good, the next you're not.
