I think Terry told Darcy that you fire Lindy or your fired
I think Darcy showed way too much emotion in this presser to indicate anything else.
Honestly, I think it should have been a 3 man presser where Peggy was there with Darcy and Lindy and they gave Lindy some cushy position that involves little if any work. - homiedclown
Agree especially when it come to offering Lindy another job for his years of loyalty to the Sabres.I think this is embaressing to your city and the organization. Most fans just see it as a firing but I see it as an example of how ownership has little respect for its employees and past history. |

throw the baseball teams out because well there realistically is no salary cap due to luxury tax
basketball you just pretty much pay for 3 players and hope that the bench and other 2 players are good
look at hockey, you will see many teams that arent high in payroll still do well, and there are teams high in payroll that dont do well
wasnt takign a shot, just saying that spending money doesnt mean success - dmarsden2988
If your going to try to convince me that it is bad to have an open check book than im not buying it. And yes the baseball and basketball teams count, ask the teams fans that wouldn't spend to the salary cap if there was one and see if they would like an open checkbook to be competitive |

Doesn't really matter what you think of Terry P, it is his money, if he wants to hire is daughter as the coach he can because it is his money, obviously if that was the case he would fire the Regier/Black, think it was a conclusive meeting in that something needs to change and that something right now is Lindy.
I can't see Darcy going though, unless Rolston coaches out the season because why would you sack the coach but then hire the new coach knowing you are going to fire the GM not long after and the new GM has to work with not his choice for coach. |

Why would they need to do that? The guaranteed money from his severance pay probably pays him more than any Front Office job anyway. |

What do you keep going on about? You say you're alright with the move but you keep questioning it. What does him being the longest active coach in NHL history have to do with anything? He was coach for 15 seasons. There were 13 different Stanley Cup winning coaches. 7 of them were fired the next season. He had basically 3 really good shots to get us the Cup and he failed. - theblueandgold
I said the timing of it not the decission and that s what was different about following the Sabres and the Bills at one time. They both handled things differently then other cities and organizations. |

Why have someone take over that was working for a guy who wasn't getting the job done?
I like the move to have Rolston take over. He had a good rapport with young players and really took Foligno up to the next level. - HonkFortheGoose

Lindy is the first person that lost their job since Pegula took over. They changed nothing. Every single person in that organization transitioned over from Golisano. You're assessment of the ownership here couldn't be any further from the truth. |

I'd like to wait on that until after this team pulls it's head out of it's ass. I don't want him near this mess right now. |
