I expect 4th line guys to put up 10-20 points, play an energy type role, hit everything that moves, be some what responsible in their own end, and drop the gloves when needed.

Scott fits one of those things. One dimensional players are a thing of the past and have no business being in the league.

yep 3rd and 4th liners do help you win the cup. they are on the PK. our PK is great. its sucks that our 1st line gives a goal up and then gets one back. i would want my 1st line to be playing + hockey. our 2nd line is not scoring, i would like to see them get on the score sheet. our PP is bad. sulzer is our 4th dman.

im not expecting much from this new coach because how can a coach fix these problems? then again good coaches find ways to get the most out of their players.

The Sabres' problem does not lie in their 4th line.

The Ducks had Getz, Selanne, Perry, Kunitz, Pronger and Scott Neidermayer.

This Sabres team has none of that, especially on D.

The Sabres' problem is giving guys like Gerbe and Hecht 18 minutes a night

Like I said the coach was part of the problem. Today they did something to fix that. This team as of right now is still a mess. I'm not buying anything if they go on a 4 or 5 game run either.
