Tonight would be a good game to start Boucher. I think Bryz has been overused a bit. He's a player that needs a big work load but even then there's a limit to how much. I thought last night he looked off at times but definitely played good enough to win. That being said get him some rest, Boosh should be good enough for the team to win tonight.
Liking the compete level the flyers have been bringing. I'd say they can't do this every night but after the slow start with some perceived nights off, this is how they need to play.
Sure is nice to get my meltzer fix first thing in the morning.
Have a good one guys, got tickets to the game tonight, club box too woot woot!!!
Thanks cousin, Billy! |

Most entertaining game since last years playoffs.
Mike Emrick is at the top of the broadcaster pyramid. I thought he captured the entire evening wonderfully.
Emrick said something pretty clever during the broadcast. He said sometimes fans of one team or the other want their team to win so much they miss the excitement of he game hoping for a specific outcome. So, Pens fans probably went to bed thinking it was a disappointing night. Flyer fans probably went to bed exhausted by the tension of the last 5 minutes. Hockey fans, who did not have a dog in the fight went to bed thinking they had seen something special. |

This was a great game. Rinaldo had another great game. He is drawing penalties and not taking stupid ones. I think Luke Schenn should sit a game or two when Mez comes back. He needs to learn when to pinch and when not to.
Simmonds and Voracek were great. Couturier also had a great game. I am not sure what the Flyers say to the Pens but the Pens cannot control themselves when they play the Flyers. Great game! Hockey season truly started for me last night. |

That was funny.. I know the feeling..when you play a gmae like that.. seems that every shot taken ends up in the net.. very frustrating.. |

That was the most entertaining game I've seen all season!
Voracek is in the zone right now. Let's hope he stays that way and helps Giroux catch fire!
Watching Couturier shadow Malkin is a treat. Cooter is under Malkin's skin, in his head, up his butt, all over him!
And the 4th line looked great! |

Bill do you think Voracek playing with Giroux is really why he has excelled lately or is it he might just be turning the corner on his development? He was turning it on for at least a week consistently even before being on Girouxs line. I really see him growing in confidence and his vision is so great...Seems to be getting better in his own end as well.
Also Why is Knuble still in this line up? I would rather have Mcginn in there with his hustle and forecheck. Knubles best before date has been reached and see him nothing but a liabilty on the ice. - Buzzo
Knuble played a big role in helping shut down the Malkin line. He is playng solid situational Hockey. Unfortunately, he took a bad penalty last night. But he is far from a liability on the ice. Look at the ice time from the game. The Coaches don't realize he's a liability? |

You let a young player play and learn from his mistakes. He's one of their top defensman. Look at the other options.

What an entertaining game last night. Absolute roller coaster.
I can't recall in my hockey watching lifetime a longer continuous stretch of 5 on 3. Anyone? Unfortunately, you had to call Talbot, Knuble and Feds on those calls, although Neal should get an Oscar for his multiple performances in the game ( Coots x-check). Fortunately, only yielded one goal and skated out with a huge emotional win.
I hope they don't give back 2 points tonight, skate hard and take it to Florida.

Markstrom's the other candidate that the Flyers could have been taken with the pick we traded for Eminger (although a few other players got taken between Carlson and him). Regardless, I hope he plays well, just not tonight. |

As a fan, the tension was everything that made me a hockey fan in the first place.
But, this absolutely was a game that was probably enjoyed most by fans whose teams were not involved and who could just enjoy the madness without clutching their chests, dealing with the sweat and shakes and just watch the game |
