Ouch! - tangent_man
I'm guessing this means Homer will now look to move a 2nd round pick for something |

Gustafsson is more suited for a 3rd pair role. It would be the same situation as with Gervais. Play him too much, and in a role he's not suited for, and he get's in trouble. He brings a nice all around game to the ice. But he's not top 4 on this team or on most teams. - MJL
Idk. He looks alot more composed out there than last year. Might be able to give him some more minutes. |

I hope he decides to plug in what we have for a while first. Read will certainly be missed, though.

Hope not. Hartnell will be back in a few days to take his spot on the top line. No need to waste any picks. |

It's tough news, for sure. Hopefully Hartnell can come back strong and McGinn can keep going like he had been.
At least it's a position of relative strength. |

Guess he's not playing tonight. When it comes to injuries with this team, it's usually the worst news possible. Unreal. |

Never a simple sprain, pretty much always a tear, dislocation, or clean break. The life as a Flyers fan. |

Sickening. It gets old. A (frank)ing concussion would have been a better result. The chances another key player wouldn't go down to a severe injury before Hartnell and Meszaros returned were 0.0% |

This is better than a concussion. There's a timetable, and it will heal fully in time. Concussions will build up and could last an extended period of time. They should get him back around the trade deadline. |

I guess. Simmonds returned in about 7-10 days from his concussion. We know what the other end of the spectrum is.
This sucks, Read was playing great.

It won't happen too often during a game, but sometimes double shifting Coots to get on a line with G and Voracek seemed to be pretty effective. Read's loss, put a little more importance to get Talbot going and to a lesser extent Rusty. |

Hartnell coming back will help. McGinn should stay in the lineup now.

At least the team will get to evaluate what they really have with McGinn. Of course, in a perfect world that would happen without a long-term injury; but thus is how the cards were dealt.
Suited-connectors is always ideal, but we are stuck with deuce-seven off, pre-flop. Time to roll. |
