I know it was absolute madness in the last 90 seconds but I don't recall Doc or Pierre saying anything about Voracek getting a hatty w/ the GWG.
Were they too busy drooling over the deft stick tap to oneself at full speed w/ no one around him in the neutral zone by #87? |
|

Wow game! As in how many times did you just have to say WOW! Gotta love Pitt/Philly games. |

That was a carbon copy of the playoffs last year. So entertaining to watch. I thought the team did a great job at stopping Pittsburgh's first line. Seemed like Crosby was buzzing all game but couldn't find Dupuis or Kunitz. They need to cut down on the careless penalties though. |

I enjoyed Letang female doging like crazy after he was sent off for his (multiple) cross checks to Rinaldo. What a little (frank)er. - KGBflyers10
I thought Rinaldo did a nice of job of basically trolling the Penguins on the ice all night. He nailed Engelland a couple of times and if Engelland wasn't such a pylon, maybe he could catch Rinaldo and hit him back.
As for Letang....he's a MUCH better player, it seems, when he's not trying to prove how tough he is.

Watching Couturier shadow Malkin is a treat. Cooter is under Malkin's skin, in his head, up his butt, all over him!

Why did I have a flashback to the old pit-phl rivally of Bundy manhandling Jagr. Maybe it's not an exact fit, because Bundy was a defenseman and not the greatest... But, when he play Jagr - Bundy looked like a superstar. |

I think that after the Montreal game, that the Flyers are carrying a chip around on their shoulders. I think they're still mad, and despite the build-up and win over Pittsburgh, they may be a bit ticked at blowing the 4-2 lead - Jsaquella
Are you insinuating that Claude Giroux might be a good captain after all?! |

Holy poop! I had a friggin heart attack watching the game. I came in late having a conflict and came in right after they cut Harry Z up...
When Grossman scored and all 5 penguins were in the net behind their goalie I was laughing/crying. I've never seen anything like it.
I was sooo glad we won. Definately the most exciting game of the season. Hard fought, I was happier that we denied them any points than we gained any. I felt the embellishments were horrendous (but I'm biased and I know it). I'd be curious to hear some opinions of people who weren't as emotionally involved. I wish Briere had been more of a presence but I won't be complaining about Jake for a bit. Let's hope they can keep up the good bounces and the scoring.
my boys!

Knuble is still a workhorse along the boards too. Aside from the double minor stickwork I didn't see much to fault Knuble for in the game vs. the Pens. - Lexington Flyer

Whenever the Flyers played Pittsburgh or a game in Ottawa (his hometown), Bundy was a beat. |

I'm not sure who had a tougher night last night......Tomas Vokoun or Tanner Glass.
The Danny Briere quotes after the game about Glass, who got tuned up by Simmonds, were priceless:
"I might have played once against him in Winnipeg. Maybe we have our history in PlayStation. That's probably where he remembers me from. That's about the only place I played against him." |

Maybe refs turned a corner with bs calls on rinaldo too? Nice to see him be able to play his game without getting called for breathing on the ice. IF he keeps this up I might have to buy his jersey just to piss other teams fans off that look at it agreed? |
