I'm not sure who had a tougher night last night......Tomas Vokoun or Tanner Glass.
The Danny Briere quotes after the game about Glass, who got tuned up by Simmonds, were priceless:
"I might have played once against him in Winnipeg. Maybe we have our history in PlayStation. That's probably where he remembers me from. That's about the only place I played against him." - johndewar
Fitting after the PS4 announcement. |

2 funny things in that fight. 1 was simmonds on a few of those punches his fist seemed to stick to glass's face and 2. Was watching glass's head shake like a bobblehead!!! Had to rewind it a few times it was that funny |

Is Boucher confirmed as the starter or is Bill just making a logical assumption? I wouldn't mind either goalie. |

I was wondering the same thing.
Nothing wrong with giving Boosh a start after last night's game, I agree. |

Most entertaining game since last years playoffs.
Mike Emrick is at the top of the broadcaster pyramid. I thought he captured the entire evening wonderfully.
Emrick said something pretty clever during the broadcast. He said sometimes fans of one team or the other want their team to win so much they miss the excitement of he game hoping for a specific outcome. So, Pens fans probably went to bed thinking it was a disappointing night. Flyer fans probably went to bed exhausted by the tension of the last 5 minutes. Hockey fans, who did not have a dog in the fight went to bed thinking they had seen something special. - spatso
well said sir
emrick gets on my nerves at times, but i did think he was great last night. for some reason i think he's better with just pierre than he is with pierre and olczyk. |

Well, Briere is fairly dirty. But I'm not sure Glass is saying anything that people don't already know. |

is Bernier that good? - vejim
He's got a lot of potential, which means if he was brought in as back up he'd be the greatest goalie in Flyers history. If he was brought in as starter, fans would hate him in two weeks |

I thought Boosh played fine against Montreal considering what was in front of him. |

Maybe refs turned a corner with bs calls on rinaldo too? Nice to see him be able to play his game without getting called for breathing on the ice. IF he keeps this up I might have to buy his jersey just to piss other teams fans off that look at it agreed? - SMS4016
Could not agree more...he is a guy that can get the team emotional when needed, and I too am glad that the Ref's are easing up on him a bit but he is still targeted, Christ Letang crossed checked him like 3 times...and no arm up, but as soon as he (Rinaldo) turned around and slashed him NOW the arm goes up and both go off. I believe Letang got a double minor, but still, the call should have been made on the first cross check. I hate when the refs pick and choose when to make a call based off of who is involved. Willing to bet in Rinaldo didn't slash, no call would have been made. Really liking Rinaldo's play of late, he is actually playing some damn good hockey too. And regarding the entire game...OMG, best game I have seen all season...he is to hoping the Isle game / last night game got this Flyer's ship turned around... |

Bill do you think Voracek playing with Giroux is really why he has excelled lately or is it he might just be turning the corner on his development? He was turning it on for at least a week consistently even before being on Girouxs line. I really see him growing in confidence and his vision is so great...Seems to be getting better in his own end as well.
Also Why is Knuble still in this line up? I would rather have Mcginn in there with his hustle and forecheck. Knubles best before date has been reached and see him nothing but a liabilty on the ice. - Buzzo
You have lost your mind. Knuble forechecks and keeps the puck deep in the offensive zone like a guy 10 years younger. He's also been immovable in front of the oppositions net. He's the best net presence we have since... Mike Knuble left!!! |

Whenever the Flyers played Pittsburgh or a game in Ottawa (his hometown), Bundy was a beat. - bmeltzer
When Bundy was fired up, he was a really good defenseman. Loved watching angry Bundy. Didn't care for happy Bundy |

I know it was absolute madness in the last 90 seconds but I don't recall Doc or Pierre saying anything about Voracek getting a hatty w/ the GWG.
Were they too busy drooling over the deft stick tap to oneself at full speed w/ no one around him in the neutral zone by #87? - bgratch
I noticed that too. Never been a huge Doc fan. Pierre is beginning to drive me nuts too. |

Pierre McGuire having some sort of career ending scandal would be a huge win for all hockey fans. He is awful.

I love watching Cooter play against the Pens. He looks like an all-star every time they go and he makes Malkin look ridiculous. Love watching him out there defensively. |

Well, Briere is fairly dirty. But I'm not sure Glass is saying anything that people don't already know. - jmatchett
Well.....For starters, how one could characterize Briere's play is fairly debatable. I think "dirty" is going too far.
Second, when you are Tanner Glass, you are better seen and not heard on these matters. |
