2 funny things in that fight. 1 was simmonds on a few of those punches his fist seemed to stick to glass's face and 2. Was watching glass's head shake like a bobblehead!!! Had to rewind it a few times it was that funny - SMS4016
Glass got in some good shots also in that fight. |

Pierre McGuire having some sort of career ending scandal would be a huge win for all hockey fans. He is awful. - johndewar

Could not agree more...he is a guy that can get the team emotional when needed, and I too am glad that the Ref's are easing up on him a bit but he is still targeted, Christ Letang crossed checked him like 3 times...and no arm up, but as soon as he (Rinaldo) turned around and slashed him NOW the arm goes up and both go off. I believe Letang got a double minor, but still, the call should have been made on the first cross check. I hate when the refs pick and choose when to make a call based off of who is involved. Willing to bet in Rinaldo didn't slash, no call would have been made. Really liking Rinaldo's play of late, he is actually playing some damn good hockey too. And regarding the entire game...OMG, best game I have seen all season...he is to hoping the Isle game / last night game got this Flyer's ship turned around... - Flyers24
I didn't understand that either, but it evened out when Couturier did the same thing to Malkin later in the game and Geno was the only one sent of for the retaliation.
The funny part of that was, if Malkin hadn't lost his cool and stayed with the scrum on the boards, the Pens might have controlled the puck and gotten a scoring chance out of it. Good job, Coots!

Really? He may as well be wearing a Penguins jersey. His analysis last night was laughably one-sided. |

Would have rather had Simmonds take a better quality player to the box with him...but a fight sure does seem to get him up for the game. It wasn't exactly a "beat-down". Simmonds put 2 in the net so I call him the winner. |

I think his analysis is poor no matter who is playing. His whole style is just grating.
On the plus side, he knows where everyone played junior hockey and clears up that Ilya Bryzgalov is actually from Russia. |

You have lost your mind. Knuble forechecks and keeps the puck deep in the offensive zone like a guy 10 years younger. He's also been immovable in front of the oppositions net. He's the best net presence we have since... Mike Knuble left!!! - Boyer83
Wayne Train's pretty damn good in front of the net, too. jus sayin |

Dresses like the proud manager of your local H&R Block. Also, once in a blue moon he's exiled to Alaska via hijacked contest. |

Well.....For starters, how one could characterize Briere's play is fairly debatable. I think "dirty" is going too far.
Second, when you are Tanner Glass, you are better seen and not heard on these matters. - johndewar
Briere's got some 'dirty' in him; he just picks his spots and is sneaky about it.
And Glass is a yapper. It's about the only thing he brings to the game.

I'm not a huge Pierre fan either. The quote in our house is "Crosby told me to do it!" and everyone knows we are talking about him. He drives me nuts... |

Most entertaining game since last years playoffs.
Mike Emrick is at the top of the broadcaster pyramid. I thought he captured the entire evening wonderfully.
Emrick said something pretty clever during the broadcast. He said sometimes fans of one team or the other want their team to win so much they miss the excitement of he game hoping for a specific outcome. So, Pens fans probably went to bed thinking it was a disappointing night. Flyer fans probably went to bed exhausted by the tension of the last 5 minutes. Hockey fans, who did not have a dog in the fight went to bed thinking they had seen something special. - spatso
Emrick is awesome, but as good as he is pierre drags the whole broadcast down. |

The worst part is, McGuire could be a fantastic analyst. The trouble is, he gets to praising individual players to the point of distraction. There was one sequence that he reviewed and broke the play down perfectly and explained exactly what was happening on the ice in language anyone could understand.
Then he ignored a goal to discuss how great Crosby was on a play that happens dozens of times in a game. |

I have his prospect card from that year and I'm still waiting for him to get an opportunity. Not sure what LA is waiting for. His stock is dropping fast. |

He took a really dumb penalty though. I'm sure he's on thin ice now. - NickTheKid87
He has a ton of jump. He is all over the ice. I was screaming at him when he took the penalty and then noticed the defenseman whose name i cannot remember turning his back a few more times during the game when he saw a hit coming. |

No, but I fear Tim is correct. He got hit high by Kunitz, didn't look dirty, and after finishing his shift didn't return. |
