Bad move to trade a #1 pick for a backup Goalie who chances are, isn't going to play much. - MJL
Very true. Would feel a lot more comfortable with bernier as back up in case of injury too. Bryz is going to play a lot. We are up poopz creek if he gets any type oF major injury. Or minor injury for that matter |

No that I expect history to repeat itself, but last time we had a Boosh/Leighton tandem we went to the cup. |

Nope. Glass was a NCAA guy and is 5 years older than Simmer. I think that it got to the point where they were mutually worn out and agreed to just hold on until the linesman broke it up.
Despite his rip on Briere, Glass is a guy that's an honest player. He was in a fight a few games ago, and his jersey got caught around his head. The guy he was fighting held up until he was freed and Glass made sure to give him a thanks on twitter after the game. - Jsaquella
Ive liked glass since he was a nuck and was peeved when Pitt got him cause I thought we could use him.
Briere is dirty. No surprises. |

I would agree that Briere is dirty. He's been suspended 3 times by the NHL, so it's hard to argue that he's a saint. |

Briere's reputation for stickwork is well-deserved. But it also serves a purpose. As the smallest guy on the ice and a dangerous goal scorer, he's an inviting target. Since he'll never intimidate anyone physically, he's made some opponents fearful of his well-placed slashes, high-sticks and deliberate jabs. He doesn't even need to do it nearly as often as he used to, because he's gotten more space as a result of it.
BTW, Malkin is no slouch in the sneaky-dirty department either. He's pretty loose with the elbows and is no stranger to slew-footing. But that works for him as well, because it doesn't take very much extra room at all for him to embarrass a defender.

He's not a saint, but has he ever injured anyone or even really tried? That's what makes a player truly dirty in my eyes. For example, James Neal. |

I just have to share that I just ran into Bernie Parent and his son at whole foods in center city. he is seriously the nicest athlete ever. so personable. he told me I must eat well cause I look good...haha Bernie being Bernie. My absolute childhood hero so while I do not hero worship when it comes to celebrities, it was a thrill to meet him again. |

And as a bonus it's rarely called on malkin. Can't tell me league doesn't want pit to go far so they can promote it's stars. Yes star players get away with a lot But even my sabre fans friends couldn't believe the crap malkin and Neal got away with last year. |

Matty Niskanen had a bit of a cheap shot last night on Couts in that frantic goal mouth first goal scramble. Nice little butt end action.

If he wasn't Bernie he'd probably be the creepiest dude ever. One 19/20 year old girl said he flirts with her all the time, but when you have 2 Cups, a Vezina and a entire city that loves you, what the heck? |

You need look no further than the end of Game 5 of the 08/09 Finals where Malkin's instigator at the end of the game magically disappeared the next day. |

I thought Rinaldo did a nice of job of basically trolling the Penguins on the ice all night. He nailed Engelland a couple of times and if Engelland wasn't such a pylon, maybe he could catch Rinaldo and hit him back.
As for Letang....he's a MUCH better player, it seems, when he's not trying to prove how tough he is. - johndewar
Letang is a very talented player and I would take him on the Flyers in a heartbeat but since the Shhhhh last year, I just can't think anything but tool when I see him |
