No, if he didn't get a shot than no. I asked a simple question. You do realize when you make comments like that you are in fact being argumentitive. - Cptmjl

What's with you, man? Why not throw Strome and Reinhart at him too, Milbury! - UIF
I would if I could get Kessel back...this team sucks...plain and simple and these clowns he has in Islanders uniforms are a joke except for Taveras and a few others.... |

Strome and Reinhart will be the real thing. Both have good heads on their shoulders. Strome's going to be a great 1B to Tavares. |

So I'm figuring by the end of the 1st perod, down 3-0. We get one to start the second but Montreal scores their fourth about 20 seconds later. I switch the channel and watch Walking Dead reruns....swtich back to check later and find we are now down 6-1, Weight is yelling at officials, Hamonic is slamming his stick somewhere, DP bit his tongue chewing gum and has been carried back to the lockeroom. Butchie says the Islanders just aren't getting any bounces but are playing good despite the shots on goal being 86-12. Cappy says in the post game show that their battle level wasn't good enough but is encouraged by some guys working hard (Snow nods from behind the curtain) and so on...

Hey Im not trying to troll, but what about Strome do you think makes him so good? I ask because we once drafted a guy named Matt Stajan who had 94pts in his final year in the OHL. Seems to have similar size, speed, and numbers to Strome. |

It's the combination of his skills. He has decent size at 6'1" but needs to add muscle. He has incredible stickhandling skills and playmakers vision. While not really physical, he excells in all facets of the game.
Of course there's always the chance that a player doesn't put it all together in moving to the next level but I'm about as confident in Strome as I have been in any Islanders prospect not named Tavares over the last 15 years. |

Yeah, I understand that.
Pretty sure he'd prefer to be healthy and playing, though. Must be getting "heavy" for him.
Not sure why he doesn't simply retire and help the Isles in some other function. |

I never saw Stajan play a game in juniors and have only seen Strome play in the World Juniors and at camp the past two seasons, so I won't pretend to be an expert on either. And I know busts do happen, but I have to believe there was a reason why Strome was considered, if not a top-5 prospect (where the Isles drafted him) then a top-7 in his draft year while Stajan went 57th in his. Again, I know later picks can be gems and early picks can be busts, I'm only saying there must be a reason why many scouts have been and still are very high on Strome, no? |
