Yeah, I understand that.
Pretty sure he'd prefer to be healthy and playing, though. Must be getting "heavy" for him.
Not sure why he doesn't simply retire and help the Isles in some other function. - Pecafan Fan

He'll be the first GM ever to miss the remainder of the season due to injury. |

Sorry...is it Bozak's 18 goals, 47 points and -6 last season that make him a "legitimate second-line center," or his 15 goals, 32 points and -29 the year before? Frans Nielsen's put up nearly identical numbers in those two seasons, is better defensively, and has played with equal or less talent, and I think we all agree he's not a legitimate second-line center. I think people get stars in their eyes whenever it's anyone new without thinking about whether it's actually better. - UIF
I honestly didn't realize his numbers were so pedestrian, + - not so good. I'm a Nielsen fan just not recently. Last season and this year have not been good for him. Point taken none the less |

Snow's interview was horrid. He's arguing against some imaginary opponent countering points that no one is making. I don't think anyone, even the Wolfpack, is saying "Please, Snow, mortgage the future for a quick fix!" - UIF
Actually, he's now officially LIED to everyone and it's in print and on the record.
He said last year, pre & post draft that we have the assets/prospects to trade for "the missing piece(s)" to make this team a contender. In Newsday today, his comments on the last two games as follows:
"As I've said many times, if there's an opportunity to upgrade our roster and make the team better, we'll do it, but not at the expense of our young guys or prospects," Snow told Newsday here on Wednesday, a day off for the Islanders before Thursday night's game with the Canadiens. "We're not going to mortgage our future to make a quick fix. That's not our plan."
Flat out contradiction of what he said previously. All the draft picks will never make the team. SO, you use some of them to trade for better players.
I'm not suggesting packaging Strome, Nino, Poulin & Nelson for ONE PLAYER but to horde EVERY GUY in the system and consider them untouchable/unmovable is beyond assinine. How arrogant can one person be. I'm sick of those who think they know better than everyone around them and fail to accept or recognize failure...which is what the rebuild IS at this point. If Tavares wasn't drafted, there would be next to NOTHING to hope for. |

So I'm figuring by the end of the 1st perod, down 3-0. We get one to start the second but Montreal scores their fourth about 20 seconds later. I switch the channel and watch Walking Dead reruns....swtich back to check later and find we are now down 6-1, Weight is yelling at officials, Hamonic is slamming his stick somewhere, DP bit his tongue chewing gum and has been carried back to the lockeroom. Butchie says the Islanders just aren't getting any bounces but are playing good despite the shots on goal being 86-12. Cappy says in the post game show that their battle level wasn't good enough but is encouraged by some guys working hard (Snow nods from behind the curtain) and so on...

Too bad tonights game wasn't at home... I usually love it when the thousands of Habs fans fly & bus down for the trip. Its nice hearing the Coli rockin' with chants again. Plus I enjoy drinking with most of them after the game.
Guess I can wait 2 more weeks |

I suppose. I see you're still fired up. Do I need to start worrying about your health at this point? I thought your rant would have chilled you out for at least a day or two. |
