You may want to walk out before the game and demand your money back if DP is playing.

Barnaby tweeted earlier this week that If the isles started DP saturday the Sabres would pay his salary for that game

I'm convinced he is drunk and coked up for every telecast

Had a couple friends fly on the Isles team plane to Buffalo for a game last year, they said he was absolutely smashed in-flight.

Now chief to be fair do you expect Butch to work these Islander games sober? This team can easily drive someone to drink.

I'll take one of them at this point. Its time to replace Reasoner & Aucoin. They're not bringing anything to the table and Okposo has to go. Enough with his soft play and constant kicking of the puck in the corners instead of using his stick

These three should go now. While last night's win was gret Vukota it will make Garth and company think everything is great in Islander land.

in the first period I was wondering why I still had it on tv and why I kept doing this shat to myself every game.

At the end of the game I was wondering if we had intentionally played rope a dope with them or if they stopped skating because they were laughing so hard.

Team schizophrenia.....second period against NJ, and the third and fourth against Montreal, were three of the best periods I've seen them play in years....in between there, we have a game against Philly, and a first period against Montreal, where they looked like they were all stars in that old Quantum Leap show- like they just magically appeared on the ice....why is this piece of titanium in my hands?

I guess that has SOMETHING to do with youth, but I'd still like to see a game plan that lends itself to more consistency. It may be that whatever it is they're trying to do is just too hard to do every period of every game. It still seems easier to me to just play defense....

Just an interesting tweet from a chat between Justin Bourne (Bob's son) and an NHL.com writer...

Justin @jtbourne
@jkreiser77nhl I played under Cappy for a couple months - he's a great guy, but one of the least technical coaches I've ever had.

Just want you want for a team of young guys

- eichiefs9

The technical part doesn't worry me- Gordon was technical and he sucked. If you surround yourself with the right people, they can take care of that part, as long as you can LEAD. It's the fact that there doesn't appear to be any discipline, or consequences for inaction that bothers me. It's like a parent of a five year old trying to be the kid's friend, instead of his dad. Much as I'd rather see someone with a track record, this team probably WOULD BE better with Dougie Weight coaching it. At least he'd kick them in the behind when they stink up the place- that's what young guys need more than anything else, IMO.

EXACTLY....I have never seen a team play like this, ever. I'd like to think it's just a young team learning how to win, but when they are bad, they are SO VERY bad that it seems like it must be something else.

Had a good year last season too though. I'm not sure why he's not signed and in the AHL this season...is it so Dallas Jackson can get some starts in BPort???
