Disagree...we don't have a 2nd line center...We have a #1 center and bunch of #3 and #4 centers. It would be a big mistake to put Strome or Nelson as the #2 next year. Nelson would probably be better off as a wing and I think Strome should start off at Bridgeport next year...
- kear20

well agree to disagree...

unless they upgrade at center, strome will be MORE than ok as the 2nd line center.

I'd jump on Gionta and a 2nd for Okposo...Deshanais would be ok for the rest of this and next year. Wouldn't have to rush Strome...
- kear20

You should be Isles GM for the next 20 years.

This team needs to send DP down. When you have him on the bench there is NO shot of them pulling Nabby in an off game. That can not be the case. You need Poulin on the bench... now!

Snow is right to an extent.. the team is fine. We are losing games by getting out goalied. Could we use an upgrade in our Top pairing Defense... yes... but this team is far better on back line then we have been in a while...IMO.

If ypu think we are losing games bcs of our goalies you haven't been watching

Any Canadian player minus Subban is not a solution. Also you and the rest of the Canadian media can forget about your wishes of getting JT. He will be an Islander for life. One more thing sorry the Isles stayed in NY I know it pissed off many Leaf and Canadian fans

I'd rather see them start Strome in Bridgeport for half the year in Bridgeport to get him used to playing the pro grame. I don't want him ending up like Bailey. They should be able to bring in a 2nd line center like a Bozak, Stoll, etc on a one or two year deal.

I'd do a better job that Snow....looked at the two guys you offered and I don't know how small they are. So I change my mind even though Gionta would do well with Taveras. I'd want a power forward to play with Tavares and Moulson. Probably call San Jose to see what they would want for Clowe...

What is wrong with this organization is Wang and Snow. Eventually Wang will sell. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

So by acquiring Okposo you wish to bolster your minor league system?

I'm pretty sure that Okposo, would be a good second line winger with the Habs right now.

You know there are guys that are only good in a winning system.

That's about the craziest thing I've ever read.

As for the organization, you see, back in 1979, somone, and we're still trying to find out who, sold their soul to the devil in the Islanders organization. In exchange for possibly the greatest team in NHL history for 4 years, we would then have to deal with 100 years of AHL talent, AHL coaching, and inept owner, and a backup goalie for a GM. We would then have to make our way through sewage to to get to our seats at the coliseum, have a beautiful new arena dangled in front of us, only to end up moving to a basketball court in Brooklyn. Hundreds of thousands of fans have abondoned ship, but you are now having a conversation with the 10 or 12 that are sticking it out.

Now what's the Habs excuse?

I'm pretty sure you're completely incorrect but wish your GM felt the same way. Okposo is awful. A flawed skater with terrible balance, weak on the puck, rarely two hands on the stick, stick rarely on the ice, takes plays off, etc. Anyone who acquires him has a lot of work to do.
