I honestly believe there are a bunch of college players who never get the shot in the NHL that could be like Read... its just about getting a chance an making the best of it...

With all the young kids they have, being crippled by injuries 10-6-2 is a hell of a start for them. I watch a lot of Sens games, and they are competitive every night. Anderson has been ridiculously good. a +.950 save %

Plus Bob was turned into some nice picks. Though, I already completely forget who we drafted with those picks. Ghost was one of them, right?

They've lost their top forward, top defenseman and starting goalie. If they can stay competitive than kudos to them.

Too many negatives about the hit in my opinion.. kinda comes from the blind side, clutterbuck doesnt have the puck, and intentional or not, he leads with the knee... when was the last time someone threw a hip check while coming from a forward angle.

To boot.. it resulted in an injury. Stupid play. Hope he gets a few games.

A line that contained both Steve Downie and Zac Rinaldo would have probably drawn a minor the second they jumped over the boards.

I didn't offer my opinion on the legality of the hit. I just don't think he intended to injure.

That trade ended up being Carter, Richards and Powe for Voracek, Couturier, Cousins, Simmonds, Schenn and Grossmann or something right? Great deal.

who had lost his taste here in philly. he lasted how long in TB? And they got what in return for him when they traded him.. a rental d-man.

Now he is in his third city on his third team and is out injured. He would have made one hell of a Flyer though. Sure fire all-star.

actually, downie was traded for a DET #1 pick in a pre-arranged deal for kyle quincey. the point is that 2 #1s were required to bring in carle, just as Bill indicated was often the price GMs pay for non-homegrown guys.

pause the video at the point of contact. From a physiological point, (pardon me, I tend to get to scientific with this stuff) he is squatting when he delivers the hit. Is it possible to squat and still lead with the thigh?

Yeah it is. Don't trade Foles because he might end up decent and I couldn't live if he succeeded elsewhere!

yep. I do like that Homer takes stabs at them. Most don't make it but its great when you pluck a Read or even Gustafsson in free agency.

If the Flyers add a few pieces, they can win a Stanley cup with this core.
