Since I got here I have said Torts sucked. Last year team had minimal injuries and a decent amount of luck. Sure the luck was created by hard work but regardless it's no guarantee hard work going to equal luck. Outside of last season Torts has missed playoffs and had two first round exits including a complete collapse against Caps. This season is exposing him completely unable to coach thru adversity. I've also was on the Dubi and Boyle suck for long time. One gone and one to go. And this season was saying Richards should be bought out. Most of my opinions were ridiculed by Jimbro and his posses. Looks like you might want to apologize
Also still think team should consider moving Staal. His game very similar to Girardi and McDonough. Great players but would like one of top three to be either offensive threat or a bone crushing crease cleaer.

He said that after the last game too!

Wouldn't it be absolutely ironic if they miss the playoffs and ended up winning the draft lottery only to not own that pick?!?! Of all years......

Ah yes, maybe. Actually a lengthy Rangers winning streak would help. I think that would take care of everything.
- gkmkiller

Even a small winning streak would do something. 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 5.

They need something. Lets just start with more then 2 goals a game.

Time for a closed door players only meeting... Maybe they can skype in all the guys in the ICU.

Unless you are willing to go with a top pairing of Stralman-Gilroy, now is probably the wrong time to think of trading Staal

Good point. That worries me much more than the loss.

Well said it before the injuries. But if they are hurt screw it not gonna win anyway. Might as well get a younger dman in return that has offensive game and or mean streak. Expand that earlier hypothetical trade CK and Staal to Jets for one of their dman and Kane.

I wish I had as good foresight as Chris Irwin. The guy is basically psychic. Heck, its even in his name. er-WIN.

What a winner.

Congrats bro. You should run for GM, I would vote for you.

Cally ( this is not a knock on him ) has no Messier in him, lets be real. Mess would have taken care of Pacioretty by himself.
- DONMURDOCH14

Hellz! That was a cheap ass dirty hit by Pac. Amazing, coming from a guy who was nearly decapitated by Chara on a borading hit. When that game was lost like it was the entire 3rd, how did no one go after him? What the (frank) is Bickell or Man U even doing on this team if they're not gonna combat douchebags who take liberties w our guys?

Sorry, always a glass half full guy but I agree with Cranny, this was a deathnell on this season. The loss, the injuries & te lack of BALLS on this Ranger team. Who are these clowns?

Thanks. But be sarcastic as you want I said this entire time I posted and for the most part was met with your brand of sarcasm. As for the GM position thanks for the vote. But I'm only arm chair GM. That's what I thought a site like this was for.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Sather called a press conference and said, "hey guys, remember what I told you, that McDonagh kid was going to be amazing and Gomez would be a bust. Yup, I called it. Who rocks?"

Until I know more on the severity of the injuries I won't go that far. I think Slats will make a move of some kind to help spark the lineup.

Not smart at all. Just my posts prior was meant with such ridicule like I was questioning god. I wanted to point out even a simple person that was asked if I ever watched a hockey game might be able to post among the intellects.

Well a couple a flaws with that. First he signed Gomez to that contract and second it's his job that he gets paid plenty of money to do. But I'm sure he has had a few I told you so moments among his peers.

Glen the only move Sather can make to spark the team is to fire Torts. This team is his and their play is a direct reflection.

I went toe to toe with you before, its not worth it. You have you're opinion & I or others have mine (ours), you have right to vent on this team, Torts, this is a nightmare right now. Last thing we need is us good Ranger fans fighting amongst ourselves.

If you guys think they are going to fire Torts after he took them to the ECF...

...just because of going 8-7-2 to start a shortened season with no training camp or preseason, having missed Nash and Callahan for significant games, and not having a 3rd line for the start of the season....

You are crazy.

Totally agree, they honestly didn't play that bad, really just a couple of bad bounces. But it is absolutely alarming that NOBODY did a damn thing in defense of McDonagh. That pretty much sums it up, and I think other teams will continue to take liberties with them until they do.

The ecf was fluke with Henrik having a career year. The same ecf they lost pretty easily to the devils. How much rope you think that buys him? Didn't Pitt fire therian year after losing in scf?

Then I'm crazy But I've been watching hockey for a looooong time and I have seen this before. A coach loses the team and this is what happens. Remember the Pens Pre-Bylsma? All that talent and they sucked. Fire coach...BOOM...instant turnaround. Time for Torts to go.
