Then wouldn't it cost much more then Kreider to get him?
- TPC

Yeah it would. But Bogo hasn't been the type of point producer the Jets thouhgt they were getting when they drafted him 3rd overall. They thought they were getting a player like Shea Weber, instead they got a Dan Girardi type player. But he's only a year old than Kreider and has 3 nhl seasons under his belt. So it would porbably take much more than Kreider to get him.

Bogo is wildly overrated just due to his draft position.
- mrhattrick27

I disagree, and suggest that you watch a couple of Jets games and reevaluate.

Probably, but I don't know. I asked whether people thought it was a fair trade, and who would be perceived as the winner.
- Pete V

I haven't watched Bogosian enough to comment on him really. Even though I am frustrated, the last thing I want to see is a major impulse trade, especially involving our youth. Just my opinion.

Bogo is 22 year old. Its youth for youth. It's not Chris Kreider for Mark Recchi.

What's the deal with Dylan McIlrath? A couple of years away?

Do you guys think it was the right pick there? I was a little surprised he went there based on some of the mock drafts.

At the time of the pick, the Rangers D depth in their organization was kind of weak. I didn't mind the pick, and still don't. His toughness will be a welcome addition to the D corps when he is ready

Gotcha, I'm intrigued by his toughness as well. Streit and a pick for him?

Fowler was the guy that everyone wanted when he dropped, and when he had a rookie year a 18 years old, it seemed like a terrible pick. Now the shine is off Fowler a little as he has been a -250 the last couple of years. Who knows how it will play out.

The Gormley kid, the other defensemen that dropped isn't in the league yet either. I think Tarasenko was in that draft and available, but it may have been a different draft.

Yea the Rangers did pass on Tarasenko to take McIlrath. He was the other guy I wanted

I thought the Isles were gonna take fowler, but they took Nino instead.

Having a good year down in the AHL I think he has around 20 goals and made the All Star team. After last year they are taking their time with him should be here for good next year

Yea that sounds like a smart path to take, no need to rush him.

I was talking with a buddy of mine and he heard that Torts may be on his way out. Have any of you heard anything along those lines?

Other than from fan chatter, no. Rangers othr than Torts are awfully quiet.

The way Torts has helped reshape this franchise, it is going to take at least a non playoff berth for that even to be a possibility IMO.

You guys would seriously trade Kreider for Bogosian?? I wouldn't include Kreider in a trade for anyone short of Malkin, Tavares or Stamkos...someone like that.

I don't really get the response. Why would I be joking? I think Kreider is an untouchable unless you're getting a bona fide all-star in return. I wouldn't put Bogosian in that category.

Thankfully, I don't think Sather would trade him either.

Not to mention, I'm pretty sure Bogosian's entry-level contract is up after this year and due a pretty hefty raise. I know how good he is, but for a guy like Kreider? Sorry, but I wouldn't make that trade.

I would trade him for a non Superstar. Guys like Backes, Eriksson or Pacioretty. I don't think Kreider will ever be as good as the 3 you mentioned.
