I'm saying he had a much more complete and experienced team when they went to the Final. He had two all star defensemen. Two twenty-five year old all star centers. An experienced vet that had a great playoff run in him in Gagne.
- Jsaquella

I agree but that doesn't guarantee you a spot in the Finals. He has to get credit for the team accomplishing that feat.

Except for goal number 2, Bryz has been tremendous today.

We won't count goal number 3 because no goalie would have saved that.

That deflection was ridiculous. I thought the second goal was weak though.

I don't know where you got that from. Malkin is an emotional guy but for him to go after somebody you'd have to crosscheck him 6-7 times (like Couturier always does)
- Orpik44

Malkin plays a dirty/chippy/nasty a game as any star level player in the league, not saying for a minute that the Flyers don't have guys that can be nasty, as well.

Malkin does throw elbows. He's sketchy. I didn't say dirty. But everyone can play like that at times.

Fight nice you two.

- Giroux_Is_God

Guess he'll have to respond at some point. Not talking about elbows though.

I do give him credit for that. But he doesn't have that team now. The team he took to the Final & won the Stanley Cup with was also veteran heavy. Doesn't make him a bad coach. Just might not make him the right coach for right now

The hard part for you guys is to give names from your team. I could point at least 3-4 dirty guys on your team.

Then that has to be on the GM. He is the one who traded these players and has assembled a team that doesn't fit the coaches suppose style.

Offensive zone third period penalty by Rusty Kuntz with his team trailing. Mind boggling.

This team is just too stupid for it's own good. Just can't play a smart game to save their lives it seems.

A truly good coach can change his style. Look at Paul MacLean in Ottawa. He's lost Spezza and Karlsson. They're competitive every night. Part of that is Anderson, but they've won games where Ben Bishop has started, too
