The saddest thing was, it was the only relevant question that assclown Barkann asked him, while Mr Special Teams Holding Penalty giggled like a retard with a comic book behind him. - Jsaquella

12 Harry Zolnierczyk - 26 Ruslan Fedotenko - 36 Zac Rinaldo
Not in love with this combo as a 4th line.
Z brings speed and a bit of forecheck, and Rinaldo is fearless and great hitter, but defensively this group seems a bit vulnerable. |
|

Glad to have Hartnell back. Should help with the energy. Hopefully, we can start a big win streak today. Let's Go Flyers! |

The drama is manufactured. Prior to the "interview", it was assumed he was being over used, but it wasn't a dilemma.
As the schedule thins out, it will be less of an issue. - Jsaquella
that 6-7 day period off may end up being a real boon in the home stretch. |

Does no one remember when Feds was first here and was considered the defensively responsible member of his line? Feds plays the PK too. Z would be my only concern defensively, but his jettison to the A last year hopefully taught him his lesson. |

Savard is an interesting prospect. They do have a bit of a glut there, not sure he'd be cheap, but they do have depth there. - Jsaquella
Well given he was only a 4th round pick to begin with, you'd have to really sell me on his potential to get a decent return for him. You only get by so far with good junior numbers, moderate success at the AHL level, and some NHL cups of coffee.
He was recently called out by either Todd Richards or Scott Howson prior to his release about how his play has not been up to par and he needs to dedicate himself more if he wants to have an NHL career.
A trade could be exactly what this kid needs; nice little reality check. Not to mention switching from an organization not known for success like Columbus to a city like Philadelphia could do wonders for ones confidence and/or enthusiasm. He'd probably feel pretty comfortable here with a few other Frenchies. |

I hope not. Probably see Crosby get another C word and then watch the Pens fans go into hysteria. |

Wonder who gets sent down to the Phantoms to make roster space for Hartnell. Sestito was on a conditioning assignment, not sure if he counts or not. Of course, since he got hurt last night they could just shift him to the IR.
Flyers will be over the cap with Hartnell coming back, and dipping into LTIR |

I like Rusty.
He has been doing good work on the PK and seems a little bit unlikely with his chances to score goals, he should have at least 3 more goals easily with any luck.
But I don't love him as the 4th line center, especially between Z and Rinaldo.
It's not a line I like taking key defensive zone draws with the game on the line.
As a forechecking and energy line they are not bad, but D zone coverage not the best. |

And this is the mud room. The rookies acquired from Columbus sleep here...and it's an improvement |

Is this a bad thing? I don't follow the details on the financial side of hockey as much as I should. |

They can use banked cap space to avoid paying bonus money next season, also helps at the TDL. |

Healthy playoff lines that probably suite your style of thinking better....
Hartnell-Roo-Read
McGinn-Briere-Jake
Rusty-Schenn-Simmonds
Talbot-Cooter-Rinaldo
Balance up and down, roll 4 lines consistantly. Only discrepencies in ice-time will be seen because of special teams. |
