I'd be ecstatic if Couturier put up Mikko Koivu like offensive numbers while having his solid all around game. That would be one hell of a player. Even Peca put up some solid offensive numbers.
- MJL

i'll take peca's best goal yrs along w/ koivu's passing acumen

You're right, they're not a very physical team. But that's what the trade deadline is for. To address needs.

true. we shall see if SB will part with his picks/prospects. so far he has not.

edit - I was hopiing we'd get one of hjalmarsson or stalberg before the season began. both were whipping boys for the hawks the last couple seasons... now both playing well.

Amazing the Flyers went to the Finals with those two between the pipes.

Well, NJ that year was a bit offensively challenged and their defense corps was not great at all. The Bruins really lost all their offensive mojo when Krejci got hurt, and let's face it the Habs couldn't score in a Tijuana whorehouse with hundred dollar bills taped to their shirt

I hope this team can go on a serious run. Nothing like playoff hockey.

I really wanted Halak after that season.

Amazing that St. Louis got him so cheaply.

He's a solid goalie. St.Louis stole him.

I remember during that SCF run a few years back I had the car flag going for the whole playoff run.

Got a lot of "thumbs up" and honks after they beat the Bruins and Habs.

Miss those days.

Lars Eller wasn't cheap. He's turning into a damned fine player.

The Habs were a little bit in a corner, they had Price and Halak was a RFA

So far, he hasn't. Halak's a very talented goalie, but the deal's not as one sided as it appeared at the time. Also, let's not forget, Halak is playing behind a Hitchcock system

It was Carbonneau, so probably a hybrid of what Hitchcock does. But Montreal didn't have the horses that St Louis does.

Indefinitely. Been out since January 2nd. I work on ladders and still get dizzy spells.

Thats poop.

I'm going for a mole removal on Friday. Little Marvin has started to grow on the side of my ribs, and needs to get chopped off.

How'd you fall?

Luongo gave him 8 goals to Detrio tonight.

That whole Schneider experiment failed pretty fast.
