Scoring like crazy in the OHL isn't scoring like crazy in the NHL, though - Jsaquella
I wouldn't expect him to put him big numbers in the NHL especially since we don't know what role he'll have. However for kicks I'd say expect 25 to 45 if he can make the transition whenever he gets his NHL shot.
I of course would hope for more. |

With all the sanctions being handed down to Portland, is Leier eligible to turn pro and play in the AHL if he decides? |

More than anything I'd like to see the forwards back-check consistently.
Whether that takes Snider spanking every guy who doesn't so be it. - flyer_nutter
That's definitely part of it. The players need to be better in a number of areas. But I just don't like the way they play strategy wise. They lack layers to their game. |

He just turned 19 & has 1 more junior eligible season left, my belief is he either makes the team if & when they sign him or he goes back to Portland.

When Rinaldo somehow broke away and I realized who it was, first words out of my mouth was " Zac Rinaldo???" The Coach has real confidence in him to let him lose while defending a lead. - SuperSchennBros
In my opinion, there was more at play there then just who the Coach has confidence in. I think it was the Coach rewarding a player for bringing it all game. And sitting those and cutting ice time of those who didn't. I'd like to see more of that from the Coach.

Does he do anything besides win faceoffs? Not to knock him, but Steckel brings size and he was used in a PK role in Washington. Belanger is kind of a Yannic Perreault type guy. |

If he can score 15 goals and 35 points, that's great for a third liner that agitates. |

okay, I wonder if they would give him the Laughton treatment and give him the trial looksie next season. He seems like an intriguing prospect. |

seems to log a good amount of minutes on the pk for the oilers. don't know how effective that unit has been, however (i'd imagine not very). just throwing it out there as a 4lc that can win draws and probably will be available. i just don't see teams in the hunt dumping useful players for no reason |

Panaccio just tweeted that Al Morganti says if the Flyers become "sellers", Boston would be willing to take on Danny Briere.
If he'd be willing to waive his NMC, I think I might try to move him now anyhow, sellers or not. - Jsaquella

Actually he is playing quite a bit on Edmonton's PK unit, and they have been really good on the PK.
Cap hit is a bit high. $1.75mm this year and next |

They have a ton of cap space, he's a veteran leader, and he's clutch in the playoffs. Why would you not want him? |

He gets pushed off the puck like a small child. Doesn't play defense, floats around like a feather. Scores once a month. |

That's a good question. Perhaps as a winger on the 2nd line. From Left Wing lock, the second line has been Marchand, Seguin and Bergeron. Briere would look good with Bergeron & Lucic.
Also, Boston's PP sucks. It's 28th in the NHL. |
