Chiarelli scouted the Flyers three times in the last 10 days, he could very well have his eyes on the 34-year-old forward (Fedotenko) (as per James Murphy, Espn Boston)
http://espn.go.com/blog/b...ards-the-bs-should-target - Chris48
Why would any GM want or need to scout a role-playing 12-year NHL veteran in person three times in 10 days (especially when he already would have recent reports from his pro scouting staff at his disposal anyway)? |

Seriously, I was huge Carter fan and supporter of his play when he was here. And I love the trade! How can you not like it? Carter is a very good player. But Voracek is turning into a pretty good player in his own right. And wait until Couturier grows up a little. It's really looks like a no brainer right now. - MJL
Well in one breath.. Kypreos said V's been a star of late...Maclean agrees and then calls the Carter deal ahead scratcher.. ahahah |

maclean sucks - Crimsoninja
Most of the national media sucks. I made a comment about this the other day. Most sit and make judgements from afar, and aren't informed. They comment on every team. You can't tell me they watch every team play. Some are very good, but that is a small percentage. Most, take what they say and flush it down the toilet. |

It's just such a shame that a goalie wouldn't talk to a beat writer after a bad outing.
By denying access, we didn't get to read the following quotes:
"Yes, I need to play better. It's my job to give the team an opportunity to win, and I didn't do that tonight."
"I believe that this team has enough talent to win."
"I need to concentrate more on doing the little things right."
"We just need to believe in ourselves - we can match any team in the league."
As it stands now, I have no idea what Bryz was thinking after that game. - Atomic Wedgie
I was just thinking the same thing about the arena cam post-game interviews. Not one interesting or insightful question or answer has ever been uttered in one of those interviews. They are a complete waste of time. I channel surf or take a whiz during them now. |

sportsnet hockeycentral at noon is talking Flyers.. a ton of praise for Giroux, Schenn and Voracek for having found their games although Maclean adds that he still doesn't like the Cooter and V trade for Carter.. haha - Hextall271
maclean's media career has made it quite obvious why he's not running a team anymore. |

Rob Parent @ReluctantSE
JVR says he has nothing but good things to say about Flyers. Damn.
That, in a nutshell, is the problem with the sports media in Philly. - Jsaquella
I think I followed and unfollowed Rob Parent on the same day. Within 45 minutes, actually. |

I love to see the trades proposal people create on there. Apparently there were some people saying that the only player they'd be ok with getting in a deal with the Bruins involving Briere would be Chara. - NickTheKid87

Is he out of the lineup tonight? How is Fraser playing? The Devils basically casted him off. Would be nice to see them get burned for once. - PLindbergh31
My guess is Gunnarson will be in the line-up tonight. In fact, my guess is you will see no changes from Saturday night. The possible exception is of Orr is feeling better, you may see him in and some other dog poop out.
Fraser is a classic case of when you didn't notice he was out there, he's done his job. Leafs fans are going crazy about the fact that he's a league leader in +/-, but the truth is Carlyle has done a great job of line matching, so he doesn't see a lot of top lines.
He's been a pleasant surprise, but he is what he is. He won't ever be more than a bottom pairing guy.
I don't think the Devils will have a problem replacing him. Hell, my guess is they are quite happy he got a chance somewhere else. |

Has anyone noticed during locker room interviews Panaccio constantly squinting? Am I imagining this? I would think someone else would have noticed. |
