don't worry. patrick sharp, patrick kane, and duncan keith will all be injured during the conference finals and they'll get swept by the new jersey devils for the cup. - hammarby31

We really need this one. I hope we play a more solid game than the one in TO. - Hextall271
Flyers have gotten a couple wins, and some players have really stepped up offensively. That's been carrying the team. But they better get their overall game in better shape if they want to make the playoffs. |

So do we.
2-2 at the end of regulation, and we play for the garbage point?
Deal? |

They won't get anywhere near 35 games. You can take that to the bank. - PLindbergh31
well, they're half-way there. at what point is "near" 35 games? |

it was weird watching emery and niemi duel against one another the other night, with emery and carbomb in hawks uniforms. kind of twilight zonish. i do wonder what would have happened in 2010 had emery not sustained that bizarre necrosis injury. i don't particularly like the way he plays, but he's clearly talented and i give him a lot of credit for battling back to reclaim his career. - hammarby31
I'm not sure they even make the playoffs if Emery plays and I highly doubt they make the Cup finals given the fact that Leighton's play would have been hard to duplicate. |

Me too. I was very happy to see him come back with Anaheim and now play well for Chi. If he stays healthy here I bet we re sign him. (may have also won a cup) |

No deal.. we need to catch you clowns in the standings. I am tired of hearing my co workers beak off about how good the Leafs are this year/ parade planning. |

Missing the playoffs for a decade turns some folks delusional. |

He was hurt all of last year. I blame his pretzelitis on McCrossin.
I swear I would get rid of him just to change up the karma. |

If he doesn't get hurt at the beginning of last year, he might still be here. He was getting top line + PP minutes. He was even on pace for 30 goals. Then he went down and Hartnell, Simmonds, Read and Voracek all emerged. Couldn't cut their ice time that much for JVR to get top minutes. |

You know, you have to think out of that crowd, JVR would be the odd man out anyway, when the time would have came when he needed to be reupped.
Kind of the way I look at it.
I wish him all the best, and I'm very psyched we got a solid, future top pair dman |
