I was watching the game because I have no life other than driving my kid to rinks and working. - mayorofangrytown
I was watching, just wondered what the rationale was for the suspension. Shanny sounded like he was teaching geometry |

Say the Boston rumor is true, that he'd accept a trade to the Bruins. I'd be open to a deal where they get a 2nd and a prospect. - Jsaquella
Seems a little light given how much we've overpaid for guys at the deadline. I guess the cap hit really is that bad tho. |

Fair enough.
The funny thing is, a trade would actually allow the Flyers to bring him back as a UFA, no? I can only assume he's going to be bought out no matter where he is.
I'd like Danny on the team more if he were taking up far less cap space.

If Danny goes, he goes. I don't see how he comes back with Giroux, Coots, Schenn and Laughton. |

????? - aightwebang17
I was watching the pre game interview and Panaccio basically said all current Flyers fans are whiners who don't hold their team accountable, and hd didn't think that getting all over Bryz for being tired was wrong. I was like WTF? |

I'd be shocked if the team did that and traded Danny to a conference opponent unless we were completely out of it at the deadline. |

He's 35, declining stats-even in the playoffs, has a $6.5mm cap hit where the cap is dropping by $6mm and has two years after this one on that contract, plus a NMC that effectively limits bidding wars.
If he was in the last year of his deal, sure. You could get more. |

I want Schenn as my 2nd line center and Couturier as the 3rd line center next year, plus $7mm in cap room to add other pieces |

Honestly to me I dont give a (frank) about JVR. He is gone.
If he had played more consistently in Philly and played better defensively he would still be here. - flyer_nutter
Well if playing better defensively here is a barometer for who's staying and who's going. There's a lot of players on this team, whose days are numbered.

If they do end up winning I will give them credit.
To do it with Niemi and Crawford... People sometimes say the Flyers play too aggressive. The Hawks have mastered that game. They come after you wave after wave BUT still back-check like crazy.
Doesn't hurt having Keith and Seabrook also. - flyer_nutter
There is far more to it then just backchecking. And there is a lot more to playing well defensively and in all 3 zones then just backchecking.

For once I would like to get a Flyers home feed on Center ICE, swear its always the TSN feed or whatever team is playing the flyers. TSN is supposed to be neutral but it seems like they definitely root for the Canadian team. And its not in HD! |

Two things...
1. Tim is a Pens fan.
2. There is a reason Clarke called him an bumhole all those years ago. He is one. |

So you think G got the black stitches in his face to look tough? I had an ex tell me the sexiest thing ever was a girl with a split lip. I admit its sexy on a hockey player. But there's a reason he's an ex. |
