This team doesn't appear to have what it takes to get to .500. I'm not convinced they'll ever get there this year. I would be very tempted to just sit or trade Knuble and Fedotenko and let the kids learn as much as they can this short season. We're not going anywhere this year, might as well get some experience for the kids.

Good luck taking a d man with the first pick

getting nothing from bottom lines or defense in scoring. they lose a lot of face offs, a lot of puck battles, can't clear, and have a lot of breakdowns in their own end. just moving up ice is a chore. i honestly don't expect them to, nor will i think they make the playoffs.

It comes right down to losing battles, being lazy along the boards and not skating. Those are fundamentals of hockey, and the players simply arent playing.

God knows why, but the Flyers always act surprised when their opponent pressures them in their own zone. It's like they've never seen if before, and have no idea how to handle it.

He has been all over Bryz for like a 2 weeks now. He needs to focus his anger with he Flyers elsewhere... Bryz has been perfectly fine this year.

I feel like this has been a problem for years. Ever since that boston series, I feel like the team developed a colelctive mind-set that there is a switch to turn on.
The only thing that really bugs me is a large chunk of these players were not even on that team in 2010, but it's still there.

Thats what the Leafs did tonight, outworked the Flyers in every way. Does anyone honestly believe the Leafs have more talent than the Flyers?

It comes down to hard work, and for the first time I am starting to look at coaching changes if this keeps up all season. They need someone who will instill a culture of hard work, and unfortunately it may cost the coach his job.

Sucks to say because I believe in a lot of what Lava preaches but a change may be needed here. It wouldnt if they would just (frank)ing wake up on their own.

I hear you, but they're 7 points up from being tied for the worst in the league, and 2 points out from being the 25th worst in the league.

The way they are playing, I'm really not in the mood to watch them limp into the playoffs to get smoked in the first/second round again. I've seen it too many times over the past 16 years.

I completely understand where that sentiment comes from, the franchise would be better off if they lose big then lose in the first round, no doubt. If they lose big and are well out of the POs they can hopefully trade Briere, Knuble and Feds while also collecting a good draft selection. It is a short season so the pain will be lessened.

However, I still refuse to root for them to lose. I will root for them to win and be fine with the exact opposite. What I do not want to see is a trade of our youth for a rental.

wow the flyers suck... Bryz chocked on 2 goals tonight and were is the frakin defense ... something needs to be done this is pathetic we need an upgrade on the defense soon

The best thing I love about Carlyle and TSN mentioned it tonight is his teams have always been hard to play against. They beat you up physically and wear you down.
