He's getting the money either way. The fact that he's played every game this season, and logged as many minutes as he has, without so much as a hang nail, is an achievement itself. His D play isn't poor, he's just slow insofar as chasing down opposing players. But his passing and calm on the ice are huge assets, regardless of point totals.
