Of course, the counter to that argument is that he was playing in a system that made goalies look better than they actually were. - Atomic Wedgie
He was very good his first year in Phoenix, when Dave Tippett was coaching in Dallas. He also had some level of success in Anaheim, prior to that.
Of course, the reverse is true as well. The other goalies people are naming are coming from similar systems. |

Yeah, Bryz let in a bad goal... name one goalie that doesn't happen to. I still see him making key saves to keep us in games. Personally I think we need to use our backup a little more and get him some rest.
Toronto's defense kept us to the outside through much of the game, their pk stopped our powerplay and Scrivens had the answers when they diddn't. In a word, we got beat. We had a couple of bounces go the other way, we could have won.
This is a hardworking and talented team... the problem is, so is the other team. - flyler
People see the bad goals but they don't see the breakdown that lead to them or the other goals were the team fails to clear the front of the net or they leave a guy unchecked. They certainly don't see the timely, game-saving stops. |

I would look to trade a laughton/read +.... Not this years first. - Philly1980
The two issues are, the Kings supposedly wanted a 1st rounder last year for him, and this year they have said that they're not interested in trading him, with the condensed schedule. |

What needed piece can be had for just cap space?
Corey Perry would be great, but is he really a need? Not IMO. - Jsaquella
We know my feelings. We need a 1 line rw and 1 top puck moving dman. Ten in 2 to 3 years we explode. |

He still looks solid in a system that doesn't. - JoeRussomanno
There's nothing wrong with him from what I've seen.
Weird question, but do goalies normally have trouble picking up high pucks at the (whatever your barn is called now) Arena?
It seemed to me last night that both goalies had trouble finding high pucks. My mens' team used to play at the Ricoh Centre, and due to poor lighting and dark seats, you couldn't find anything above about nipple height. |

Flyers, they can't transition from D to Offence well, They have little to no confidence in any goaltender other than Bryz, like c'mon clearly the guy is exhasted and needs a game off, he has started all but 2 games this year. As for the 2nd PP unit well thats self explanitory, who else is going to quarterback the PP behind Kimo on Defence? Oh yea there is no one else... I'm actually suprised Coburn didn't take a stupid penalty last night. |

I disagree on the top line RW. I do feel they need a good puck mover. The defenseman is a much bigger need. |

I'd really hate to make a big splash for him and he becomes Brian Boucher. Rather the flyers use Bryz's contract to tgeir advantage and develop their own talent during that time. |

Know what I'd like to see? How Bryzgalov looks with a solid team game played in front of him. - MJL
We played solid team game in front of leights and boosh. Anytime you play solid game in front of NHL goalie your chances of success are sky high. So wHy look at bryz. Can get same result with alot cheaper. |

Brian Boucher. 332 minutes of shutout hockey.
How can you possibly explain that?

That's interesting. The WFC has a white ceiling, and is better lit than MSG used to be. |

He got insanely hot. Bryzgalov had the Flyers shutout streak record last year. Set it in March. |

Everyone says the Flyers have enough centers, but if I am Holmer I don't rule out bringing in a solid 4th line center/PK specialist, preferably one with size, that is solid on D and is dominant on faceoffs. |

They have enough top 9 centers. Could definitely use a good 4th line one with faceoff ability. |

Ceiling would be too high to matter. Maybe just too many guys sitting behind the net were wearing black Flyers jerseys?
Am I smoking crack on this? Anyone else notice this last night? Other nights in Philly? |

hmm I haven't particularly noticed. I think if it was an actual issue more hype would have been made. prolly just a bad night in that regard for both tenders. |
