Sure, if they can. Not sure I see how they can get an extra first, outside of fantasy land.

I'm very much open to moving Briere. I'm open to trading for a Bernier type goalie. I just hate the cost.

When Anerson returns for Ottawa, I'd be more than OK with rolling the dice on Robin Lehner and seeing if they could pry him out for a small price.

I hate it when people can't make a good point, shy away from questions, that totally debunk their feeble assessments then wanna make remarks like that. It's a discussion, nothing more nothing less.

Hey, I've had bad ideas but am willing to throw the muck against the wall and see what sticks myself. However when I'm confronted with how dumb it is I'm man enough to admit it.

can you present us with some facts to support the fact he cannot? THere have been several goalies to play at a high level into their late 30's. WHy is it so hard to think Bryzgalov cannot?
- JoeRussomanno

Probally becuase he doesn't play at a high level now. Some of you guys think he's played great this year. Sorry don't see it. He's played ok overall. He's a big technique and angle stIff. Get him moving( like breakaways and shoot outs) and he's complete garbage! Sorry but for that huge contract we were dooped. He is no savior. He's aN average middle of the pack goalie with a great personality nothing more nothing less.

If that's how you feel then there isn't much point in discussing further.

Brian McGrattan on waivers. Which is surprising, because I had no idea he was still in the NHL

This team will be fine with Mez at 100%, but that's just my opinion.

If were talking trade bait, it's gotta be Danny B. For anyone that says he's untradeable, I have two words for you: playoff stats. He is easily tradeable, and would bring a solid return.

We have the forward depth, believe it or not. Get a good puck-moving guy for the back end and you will improvements in all facets of their game.

I wouldn't mind taking a risk on a bunch of these potential "Coburn-esque" steals. Rundblad, Lehner, Paajarvi. All guys who could be impact players and might be had for a small price. It think it's better to roll the dice on these guys in their early 20s than to go the route of signing a decent UFA to a longer, more cap unfriendly deal.

No.

The Bruins have $7mm of available cap space for next year and need to re-sign Horton, Ference and Rask.

I could see them being willing to flip a pick for one or the other, but not both

And if you have the cap room, the actual out-of-pocket expense is low. Still the NMC, but with just one year left, you make it clear he's not back here after that anyway and ask him to waive. If this team isn't going to the playoffs, he knows his chances for a cup are dwindling. He may be willing to make the move to someone playoff bound.

I have no issue trading for young, unproven kids, so long as there's not a premium price on them. If I have to trade Read and Laughton for Bernier, I have zero interest

Agreed. I would trade a 2nd for one of Rundblad, Paajarvi or Lehner, in that order.
