Are you spelling his name correctly on the ebay search?

My expectation is that he is a depth player, at best.

Why would I be happy? I don't care about 5-7 years ago. I live in today and hes washed up.
- stveshdy

I think you have a legitimate point about giving up draft picks for older players. But not sure if you do about Gagne being washed up.

If he doesn't stay healthy than Wellwood and Harry Z get to play anyways.
- eayost

They should be playing now. Keep the pick.

You really want to waste $2-3M or more on Gagne?
- stveshdy

Depends how he plays out the year. Maybe that's why they get him for practically nothing now. See firsthand what he can still do. And if he wants that much coin and someone else is willing to give it, then you just don't sign him.

Following in the footsteps of guys like Hextall, Tocchet, and Recchi...
- Lexington Flyer

Oh, how did I forget Recchi in my Throwback Tuesday jokes. He did come for a 2nd tour of duty.

They could of dressed Shelley. Unreal.

Ok, I thought you were overstating his 'used up'ness before, but now we're in the realm of hyperbole.

Dont see how anyone can be that bummed about this its a conditional 4th round pick something needed to happen...Yeah Gags isnt the same player but he will surely help if anything with leadership. The flyers didnt give up any player for him either...As for Fedatanko I wouldnt be at all shocked to see him traded within a week or two just a feeling. Doesnt seem like his heart is in Philly.
- flyerfan28

There's a few players I can think of that I would have loved to give up for gagne instead of a pick. It's reportedly a deep draft. Our farm system is the worst in the NHL. I want as many chances as possible to replenish. Why the eff do we have to give up a 4th for a scratched player and jersey can get ponikorovsky for a 7th?

From my blog: Flyers asked Simon Gagné to fly as soon as possible to Philadelphia to make sure he'll be in the lineup Wednesday vs Caps.
