I don't detest this trade. I just disagree with it. I would rather the flyers keep their picks. I have been saying this all season long, keep the pick keep the kids. Only trade if youth is coming back or a stud who is signed to a long term deal.
I know a 4th round pick is a crap shoot, but I also know gagne isn't going to solve this teams issues.

No, but at least they're making an informed judgement on him. I agree with you that the Flyers shouldn't be giving away draft picks for older players. Especially true if it becomes a 3rd in the Flyers make the playoffs. What would offset that is if the Flyers make a miraculous run and hoist the Cup. Then I won't care about the 3rd. All I'm saying is that I don't know that Gagne is washed up, and I don't know how you know that either.
