I like the deal for the Habs.
Liked Cole but he was not going to get any younger.
Ryder has an expiring contract at 3.5
Cole still has two more years at 4.5 after this one.
Montreal freed cap space and got a good scorer in Ryder along with a third rounder.
I wish Cole well and think he will fit into how the Stars play.

glad you guys love all three of those players.
booth will never score 20 goals in a season ever again, he gets hurt too much and is very inconsistent.
Ballard does his usual hits along the boards but he's a waste in every other aspect of the game.
Lu, total waste of money for us, but he makes sense to keep on your end. He's been playing great this season. |

Ballard sucked the last 2 years since AV had him playing on his wrong side with guys like Aaron Rome on the third pairing. He's been way better this year on his left side playing with Tanev. He's obviously overpaid as a 3rd pairing guy, but gives the team 3 decent pairings and I like his physicality and speed combination for sure.
Luongo has been solid, I think he gets moved this summer for whatever Gillis can get. |
