Dont want to see Rinaldo on the 3rd line with Couts and Gags. Rather see Knuble or Talbot. Keep Zac on the 4th. - DocEmrickVocab
Knuble is a healthy scratch tonight. |

In the two games he has played to date he sure has been noticeable. Its a shame he doesnt have NHL level offensive skill to go with his speed. - jak521
That's one of the biggest issues I see with Harry Z. He has a ton of speed, but not much else to his game. He needs to develop a niche somehow if he wants to remain more then a part time call up. |

The next two games are must wins imo. A loss in either of the games and the homestand is basically a disaster. With 5 of the next 6 games against the Rangers, Devils, Bruins, and Penguins, the season can get away from them. - PLindbergh31
Pretty much have to win 4 out of 5.... Tampa has 2/3 games at hand. |

I wont disagree. But Zac has played well and earned his ice time. He brings much needed snarl to that line.

Other teams would want him for the playoff scoring. St Louis only scored 6 goals in 4 games when they got swept by the Kings last year.
His cap hit doesn't matter so much to teams with plenty of space, and he's only due to be paid $5 million over the next two years. St Louis has tons of cap space. - Feanor
St Louis also has half of their team looking at new contract this upcoming offseason.
Andy McDonald, Chris Stewart, Patrick Berglund, Kevin Shattenkirk, Alex Pietrangleo, Ian Cole, and Chris Russel are the noticeable names that are due for new contracts. |

Zac's been buzzing lately and has created some offense. I think he'll be fine with those two. |

Exactly.. he doesnt have a good enough defensive game to be a mainstay, and his blazing speed would be even more fantastic if he had even modicum offensive skills. |

My first shows were Legion of Mary Tower Theater Upper Darby spring 1975,
JGB Tower theater fall 1975, JGB Astor Theater Reading Fall 1976. First Dead show was the amazing Englishtown NJ show in '77.
We weren't old enough to drive to the Jerry shows but my friend had a cool mom who took us to Reading and Upper Darby. - Marc D
You lucky bastard. Was jamming that in the car the other day. My 4 year old loves Eyes of the World...and laughs at Weir's "Na Na Na Nas" at the end of Estimated Prophet...the kid gets IT. |

Conversely two wins in the last two of the homestand could put them on the way to a winning streak. The Rags are banged up and not playing good hockey, they are due against the Devils and maybe Gagne can bring back some of his old magic vs. Brodeur, Bruins in Boston will be tough, no doubt about that, but the Pens at home without Malkin is winnable too. |

it depends on who would contribute more for them in the playoffs...Briere or Shattenkirk....Im sure also it would be something like Briere + Laughton + a first for Shatts |

I would have guessed Knuble to be a lock to play against his former team.
I'm not opposed to getting him a rest.
Gervais I like a little more then Foster but neither are great options.
Bryz might have to steal a win for them tonight. |

Gervais at least has better mobility than Foster. They're both pretty weak defensively.
Laviolette had enough faith in Knuble to send him out with the game on the line against Toronto, only to make him a healthy scratch the next game. Those are the sorts of things done by a coach whose tenure is in jeopardy; desperately throwing things at the wall, hoping something will stick. - bmeltzer
Do you believe it's time for a coaching change? |

Trading Shattenkirk would be moronic. |

Yep. Speed to burn not much else. He's not big enough to play a physical style, and he really doesn't have much of a scoring touch. Harry Z takes some very undisciplined penalties at times, I would prefer seeing Wellwood in the lineup. |

You would hope the goaltender wouldn't have to steal a win when playing a team at the bottom of the Conference on the second night of a back to back for them.
But you may very well be correct. |

Two wins would be nice. Would put them at .500 for the first time this season. |
