I heard the Pens will* send us Letang for Knuble. Anybody else think this is possible?

It's really funny that an article by the guy that said that the Flyers had signed Stamkos to an offer sheet is getting tis much discussion.

Doubtful. Why would you trade Knuble?

If a Shattenkirk for Briere deal doesn't shock you than I can't even begin to fathom what would.

I said I wouldn't be totally shocked. If they go on to win the Cup, I don't think they'd care. Teams on the cusp of winning it all think that way. Like the Flyers used to.

Voracek is turning into a pretty good player, has been hot since playoffs of last year. No way do he and Briere (and Gustafson) get traded for Shatterbutt or whatever and Stewart. I like Stewart but he's another Simmonds and Flyers need playmakers.

Shattenkirk and Stewart were traded to StL for EJ. StL won that deal, but they supposed deal is Briere for Shattenkirk which is pipe dream tosay the least.

The Flyers would never even consider trading a Shattenkirk type player for a Briere type player.

At a lesser cost, why not. Just healthy scratch him till the playoffs come.

We already gave up too much when we traded for him. We gotta trade him to get some of it back.

Shattenkirk is much better than Carle and is also younger. He's already a top pairing guy and would/will be a #1 defenseman if not for Alex Pietrangelo getting that title.

If his cap hit matched his salary I'd be OK with keeping him. But when you give Timonen a $6m extension it puts cap space at a premium. I still don't get why Holmgren rushed into that deal. Wait and see how injured the guy is in May or June.
