I dont get the whole #1 vs#2 thing. I see them in tiers...

You have your Karlsson's, AP's, Chara's, Weber's...

You have you Shattenkirks, Subbans, Kronwalls, Letangs, Timonens..

Then you have your Meszy's, Phaneufs, Carles, etc.

All of those guys are more than capable to play in a top pairing... but obviously some are better than others.

I agree you get it .When you think about it, everyone will have an opinion on the people in each tier but you are talking about the best thirty or forty defensemen in the world.

Seabrook is a #1 defenseman in this League.

After reading this, I wouldn't be surprised if Shatty comes to Philly. Chances are, especially if the club keeps flailing, more teams will be calling and a bidding war could happen. Homer could go to the GMs and pretty much say I'm taking the best offer, you want Briere, give me something to move him for.

Let's change the subject .. What's the likelyhood that the Flyers announce that they've signed Jody Shelley to another 3 year 3 million contract because he's a good locker room guy. It doesn't matter if ever has to play because they aren't signing him for his on ice ability.

The sentence that caught me off guard is " the vastly under rated Shattenkirk" am I missing something. I think he is getting a lot of respect on this blog and I watch him all the time on Center Ice cause he and Tarasenko are on my fantasy team and he is highly respected and really a nice player so I dont see him being "vastly under rated"

It takes 6 months to adjudicate a DUI. Not surprised it takes longer than that with this going to trial.
