Gustafsson's play since his recall gave the Flyers the ability to separated Coburn from Gervais (and did they ever struggle as a pairing) and reunite him with Grossmann while limited Gervais to #6 minutes.
Now, if Gustafsson is out for any substantial amount of time, the Flyers are looking again at a choice between a Gervais-Foster third period or separating one of the top two pairings again.

I'm not impressed by Ovechkin at all. I think he's very overrated. - stveshdy
He certainly is NOT in that "who is the best player in the league" conversation anymore.

I get you on Wellwood being more skilled, but this team plays better when things are chippy and Wellwood doesn't play that game. I thought the Flyers energy line was dominant tonight on a few shifts and Z was a big part of that. I'm OK with either guy I guess. - Lexington Flyer
I hear you. Rinaldo brings enough energy. Flyers take too many penalties as it is, I hate having a 4th line guy that continually takes penalties in limited ice time. |

Oates said he didn’t believe the hit was dirty, faulted Perreault for trying dipsy-doodle through the neutral zone.
This Oates guy must be some kind of Flyers scout |

Just gotta hope Mezaros is OK soon. But they should not rush him back because a recurrence of that shoulder injury would be terrible.
New page, new Ovechkin gif.

Hopefully Mezaros is back in another few days. Holmer said 7-10 days yesterday. So maybe vs. the NYR or Boston? Hopefully Gus is just bruised and they held him out as a precaution. |

It's clearly a penalty, but Sheez, take the skirt off.
$9.5 million a year for 9 years. He's an anchor the way he played tonight. Would anyone take on that contract? |

Send him back to Russia. He's not worth it. |

It's been bad since he took the picture with his phone of Kessel being picked last. Karma is one bad @ss mother. |

Still not cleared for contact, and still in pain when shooting the puck. |

He still feels guilty about the Flyers giving up Ouellett, a 1st and a 2nd for his crap performance in Philly.

I would like to see Milbury say the stuff he says to Ovechkins face, he probably wouldn't be able to handle Ovie, as easily as the 8 year old he put his hands on. |

I didn't fault Perreault at all. That hit at that time when the game is out of hand is never acceptable regardless what the opponent is doing. |

Agreed on that, even if he was trying for some payback after Ovechkin took a run at Briere |

If it was intentional, I'd agree. But in my opinion it was not.

Yup. And MAB not an option. Still recovering from multiple concussions. If Gustafsson's injury is serious, I wouldn't rule out Holmgren trading for someone. |

hopefully Gus isn't hurt ... but if he is, how come Manning can't get a shot? I though he played pretty well when given the chance before. |
