Agreed....but we're only talking about qualifying for the playoffs. This isn't a discussion about whether we're a good team...we're not...but this is the N-Friggin' H-L. Bad teams get in all the time!
I don't think we'd get anywhere, but ultimately even a four game sweep in the 1st round is valuable experience for the few guys we have who are keepers...problem is that the team will wait so long to can Cappy, we won't sniff at 8th anyway.

Here's the thing with Capuano- no one is saying he is the only problem. You would have to be an idiot to think that, given this team's PAYROLL, for one example. However, that said, this team as presently constituted COULD BE better than it is, if it had more discipline AND a solid defensive game plan. That's my point, and I would imagine that is the point of everyone else who wants to see this coach shown the door.

It's like DiPietro. What we "hate" is the fact that he lets 40 MPH wrist shots from 60 feet away go between his legs, and into the net. No one hates "him". This isn't f***ing Kindergarten. It's not ALL Capuano's fault, either, but it's a lot easier to replace HIM, right now, with someone who will expect better of these men, than it is to hire another GM and expect immediate results, or expect the owner to sell the team, and have that be the magic potion that fixes everything right away.

If you spend five minutes watching the "electric football players" defense, running around in circles, and passing the puck straight through the heart of the defensive zone in order to try and constantly move it forward, with no thought as to what might happen when it (inevitably) doesn't work out, you realize that an ACTUAL COACH wouldn't put up with that cr*p for more than those five minutes, before a*ses would start warming the bench for the rest of the evening. That is where those of us who want Capuano out are coming from....no one is praising Wang. No one. Anywhere, at any time. Ever. Period.

Just heard sandy alderson the mets GM on wfan. It was so refreshing to hear a GM not bullpoop anyone. He admitted he isn't comfortable with the outfield and gave honest answers about their plans and current players and prospects. He isn't going to say anyone sucks or this or that but it was light years better than hearing snow say how (frank)ing great boyes is as a power forward

Maybe there is a team out there that believes they can improve is atrocious skating.

Otherwise I have to believe that the NHL knows he cant skate very well and I doubt we get much back for him one on one.
