Great on both. I thought the HZ check was clean anyway. |

Lindros turns 40 today....
GID Holmger - PLindbergh31
Like I joked yesterday, last season the Alumni played during the Alumni Game.
This year, they play in every game. |

I'm happy Gagne is back. He can help this team if he stays healthy. |

If you're just going to repeat your jokes from yesterday all day today maybe you should take the owners dog for a walk instead. |

I understand that, but again if they came to Homer and asked about Danny, Homer is going to do whats best for the flyers and try to help his team. I didnt say they were looking to move Shattenkirk all I am suggesting is that is who Homer has put his sights on if he is gonna go through all the trouble to get Danny to agree to waive his NTC...I dont think St.Louis came to Homer and offered Shattenkirk but Homer sure as hell is gonna try to get a player like that outta there - nonpoint22
And what's going to happen if Holmgren asks for Shattenkirk for Briere, is it's going to end the conversation. And Armstrong will tell him he has interest in Briere, but get back to him when you're serious. |

Well look at it this way, Shanny gets it wrong most of the time, so you wouldn't want to be caught agreeing with that bum. |

I'll readily admit the trade is a tad wasteful, picking up veteran rental help in a not-so-good looking season. But I'm really glad he's back. |

i agree it makes more sense, but if I could swing a trade for Shattenkirk that didnt included roster players outside of Briere and maybe a Gus or Mez or somebody like that I would strongly consider that of it was an option - nonpoint22
I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm not saying that they shouldn't make an offer like that for Shattenkirk, I'm saying that there is no way in Hell it would be accepted. Teams routinely start by shooting for the moon. It never works but there's no harm in it.
What bugs me is considering Briere and a 1st for Shattenkirk as fair or reasonable because it's not. I'm sure the Flyers would make this offer, it's just silly to think that St. Louis would even consider accepting. I'm sure Holmgren knows they wouldn't accept as well. |

Good point. So the fact Shanahan doesn't deem it a suspension worthy act, means all of you agree with him! |

Had it not been for the mishandling of him, injuries and lack of league wide concussion awareness, he might still be playing. |

I hear ya...Honestly I truly think Homer just wants picks to get Danny's cap number off his book bacause, if he makes it to UFA this summer, I think your gonna see a huge pitch for Corey Perry |
