I love all of Bill's post...not only because of his insight to what it going on with the Flyer's but because of everyone else who posts things...you all keep me amused on slow days.

We have covered everything from Sestito / Leighton on Waivers to WWII history...Sixers sucks and countless numbers of pictures and uncanning banter. LOVE Bill's forums and everyone else who makes it so entertaining.

But on a side note...don't you guys work?....

BTW, if COL didn't match and CGY got ROR, CGY would've been obligated to put him on waivers. No provision for paying him not to play.

Wow, Calgary couldn't have even sat out O'Reilly

I just feel they didn't do their homework on the guy before making the trade, and the ignored the warning signs. At least they'll have cap room this summer.
- Jsaquella

Without having any details, this sure doesn't seem like an injury situation to me. It seems to me like his knees are shot at 24. How does that happen? How do the Sixers Doctors not know that before agreeing to the deal? The whole thing is bizarre. And the sad part is that if healthy, the kid is an absolute monster, and would instantly transform the Sixers.

It doesn't, but he's had knee issues in the past and has reportedly been diagnosed with a chronic condition.

If they didn't already have a history of trading from broken down big men that extends back 30 years, I'd have a softer spot for them.

Ruland, Bol, Geiger, MacCulloch, Mutumbo, Bynum. They ignore all these red flags...

- Jsaquella

Different ownership though. I think they legitimately believed that Bynum would be able to play at least 60 games when they traded for him but then around December they realized the injury was far more severe than they thought. Now they lie to the fans.

Yup. No doubt. Nothing worst than being a marginal team in the NBA. Either you get the 7 or 8 seed and get bounced from the playoffs in the 1st or 2nd round or you finish a spot or two out of the top 8 and don't get a top 10 pick. It's a vicious cycle.

Huh...when you posted this I immediately dismissed it as a rhetorical question. Four pages later I'm amazed that there are people who actually do care, and seem to know what they're talking about, too!
