i cant believe people havent grasped the fact that carlyle pencils his lineups according to roles.

they arent going to move out their cheap affordable extra 4th liner to make room for lupul. someone in the top 9 will have to go.

For the first while, I can see Komarov sliding down to the 4th line, and Orr/McClaren take turns in the press box. Especially since it will take time for Lupul to return to form. Once Lupul gets back into game shape and is producing, then maybe I see one of the top 9 being moved.

he's out there to agitate and get guys off their games.. if they only intend on giving him 4th line minutes they might as well send him back to europe.

Lupul/JVR/Kessel....Bozak centers the 4th line..ORR/Maclaren take turns eating popcorn with liles and Komi..

Bozak, Mac and Kuli are the prime candidates.

Basically comes down to Steckel, Komarov, Macarthur. Komarov has value on the 4th, line which essentially renders Steckel useless.

JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Frattin
Komarov - Grabovski - Kulemin
Orr - McClement - McLaren

This is pretty much how I see the lineup, barring any major trade deadline deals. You can also swap JVR and Lupul, really, if need be.

him or kuli. i know nobody wants to suggest it but the fact is teams keep asking about kuli, the return on him might make it worth it. its something to at least consider folks.

I don't disagree, and believe that Mac or Kuli are going to be moved. But I would be surprised to see them moved prior to the trade deadline.

I guess it all depends on how close to returning he is. If he is still weeks away from returning, then it does not matter much right now.

I just hope they can have a strong game tonight and pull off a win (in regulation preferably).

Crap shoot to value getting close to the deadline, if i`m buying, I do it early before prices go up.

carlyle isnt going to re-invent the definition of his fourth line

if you as a player do not fit the role of carlyle's 4th line role then you wont be playing on the 4th

im OK just trying to dump Komi, Steckel and Liles for picks. If we don't upgrade or get a player for a player so be it. That was what Burke always tried to do. Having said that, he was a f'n genius getting Mark Fraser for Dale Mitchell back in the day
