well he's not Rinaldomus prime yet. But tonight he will arise, while throwing Gaboritron through Torticron's head or butt I can't remember and don't have time to watch.
I like the d corps they have as well but when you have a surplus at one spot, it's never a bad idea to at least consider trading for a young, talented defenseman, of which they lack. Timonen might be done after next year and they will NEED to replace him one way or another. Coburn, Grossmann, Schenn or Meszaros can't do what he does. - NickTheKid87
For the most part I agree. They certainly don't need a superstar defenseman to win a cup. I would like see them go after someone like Tyutin from Columbus, a good solid 2nd pair guy. This would really solidify their top 6 and give them some insurance going into next year if Timonen breaks down.
The problem is the Flyers have not drafted a great defenseman in like 20 years. Their chances of getting another Couturier is 100x more than getting a #1D in future drafts. - phillydentist
The Flyers have NEVER drafted a great defenseman! A few good ones, though not many, but no great ones. All their best defenseman throughout their history, except for Jimmy Watson, have come via trade or free agency.
