Punk shows were always a blast. I remember seeing Less than Jake and Anti-Flag when i was 17 at Club Laga in Pittsburgh (which isn't there anymore). One of the best shows i ever went to. - cap1681
Yes, The Rentals had the dude from Weezer. They had that "Friends of P" song.
There's nothing wrong with seeing 3-4 bands for $12-$15. I think that from the ages of 16-22, I spent every Friday and Saturday night with between 300-2000 sweaty dudes.
I still do that occasionally, but they're now referred to as "bear parties."
By July, Taylor Swift will have written a whole new batch of songs about the fact that no male can stand to be around her for more than 5 minutes. - johndewar
Anything else from the Pronger interview on WIP? What else did he say?

First concert Fugazi in this dive in Austin TX, my boyfriend protected me from the mosh pit, ah memories... Later I used to go to concerts with a very short female friend who was the perfect height to get bashed in the face with elbows... She would wear white T-shirts so that when they bloodied her nose it would be more dramatic, she cracked me up.
One of my favorite concerts was Sisters of Mercy in London they morphed "The Wall" into "Marianne", it was awesome....

Man, Fugazi.......haven't heard that name in a while.....great band!!
I've only been to a handful of concerts. Hanson, Aaron Carter, Ben Folds, 2 American Idol Tour shows and Taylor Swift. Going to see Taylor again in July. - NickTheKid87
I've seen The Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, Ratdog, Furthur, The Other Ones, "The Dead", Phil Lesh and Friends, 7 Walkers, and Dark Star Orchestra, among others.
This is the first set of the first Grateful Dead show I saw (filmed, convieniently enough for me, pretty much from my perspective at the show).
The only one's I actually liked were the 1st AI show and Taylor Swift (incredible). Ben Folds was the worst. Stood in the Electric Factory for over 4 hours. Terrible. - NickTheKid87
My favorite concert was probably Ray Lamontagne back in 2005. That dude is sheer talent.
Band I wish I would have been around to see live (other than the mainstays) would be Little Feat (Lowell George era..)
1st was U2 @ JFK.
2nd Yes at Spectrum
3rd Rush @ Spectrum
- MBFlyerfan
Was the U2 at JFK show the one where Springsteen got onstage with them?
If so, I was at that same show.
I always had irrationally good opinions about going to shows at JFK (saw some Dead shows there..."Monsters of Rock" tour....Amnesty International) and was a little sad when it was torn down.

I flipped over and yeah not much more. Basically same old stuff. He sounded ok but definately not the guy you remember. They did get him to laugh at one point but in reality nothing at all earth shattering in the interview.
They asked him about the D being slow, and he basically said they need to use the KISS philosophy more often (Keep It Simple Stupid). That they are trying to be too creative with pushing the puck out of the zone when they should be able to outlet to the first guy they see...
He also said that young guys on the team would need time to learn from their mistakes and that as a veteran you understand that certain players like certain zones and you force them to play outside their comfort areas. But it takes experieince playing with those guys to figure it out.

Yes, because Bono had the separated shoulder. Also saw the Amnesty/Human Rights Now show with Peter Gabriel, Springsteen, etc at JFK.

Never saw a show at JFK. Mom was going to take me to Live Aid...but she ended up going with my aunt. I hate her
No Hayward or George.. takes a bit of the allure out of it for me.. Its like a cover band.
Jimmy Paige, in an interview with RS, said that Little Feat was his favorite band. - jak521
They're still the Feat. The guy that replaced Richie was his drum tech for years, but the guy can play.
Got to say hello to Richie after a show at the Borgata a few years back, but he had his head buried in a book as he walked by, and all I got was a grunt in reply.
