if they concentrated on simply getting out of their own zone and playing better defensive hockey it would be an improvement. murray can do this for 20 gms and it'll help the young guys. - isaiah520

Honestly, I would have liked to have lost 8-1. - KGBflyers10
I don't know about that.
8 - 1 and we're talking about whether we even belong in this league. Blowing a 3 goal league and we're talking about changing coaches.
I prefer the latter. |

Was it just me or did that building get really quiet at 4-2 and stay that way? |

It's not concentration - it's strategy and execution. They set up a forward at the side-boards and he passes to a space - not a player. And that space was taken by the Penguins the last bit of the 1st and all of the 2nd and 3rd. Maddening. |

You could feel the momentum sucked out. That was the time to call the timeout and regroup. |

Understatement. Ugh.
To be honest, I didn't know I was going until late. Well.. late last night and then today we had a luncheon for a retiree in the afternoon, so I was not "on" here or Twitter much at all. |

Obviously they have not worked. What I'm saying is that there's no guarantee that a new coach's system will work either.
What I would like is to ride out the season, rework the roster, and evaluate things from there. Things may not change in 20 games anyway with a new coach this season. - feelingkettle
I realize there's no guarantee that a new coach will work. I just see no reason whatsoever to believe that the current coach will suddenly be able to implement the adjustments needed to avoid further driving home the bad habits. I'd rather go with the unknown.
As far as reworking the roster, what makes you think that they can make a lot of changes? |

Look at the game winning goal. That's not bad player decisions. That is what they're taught and Coached to do. Same thing in the 3rd period against the Rangers. - MJL
What? It was a 2-on-1 with Crosby and Kunitz, 2 of the hottest players in the NHL. |

Best part about tonight: the first period.
Second-best part about tonight: No Pitbull (at least, if his music was played I did not notice) |

Time to hire Pierre McGuire. It gets him off TV and we get a new coach.
Win-win. |

Even if Pronger becomes symptom free from concussion, he has permanent vision damage. He stated today he has the eyesight of a 60 year old man. He has zero peripheral vision. Even if he wanted to play, there isn't a doctor that would clear him. |
