See I barely finding it entertaining, more annoying. I'd much rather watch a 2-1 thriller with tons of chances but great goaltending than a 6-5, whoever scores last wins, shootout. - bri29smith
At this point no one getting hurt would be nice. Everytime we play the Penguins elbows tend to get up with their adrenaline level. I don't mind a fight but the dirty hits (from both sides) I'm praying to avoid. The very last thing we need is a higlight reel of a dirty play coming out of this game.

Personally, I've found these high scoring Flyers v Pens games really intense. Maybe it's not 'good hockey' to most, but I think it's incredibly entertaining.

Well Pronger is finished. Hope is dead - Winning
I misread this and thought it said "Hope he is dead"
I was like WTF?
Glad to know my brain kicked in a second later.
His interview was heartbreaking. To have all that ability and talent taken anyway by one freak accident, truly depressing. Loved him and will miss him.
The streaks, both of them, are "lossless" streaks. In this (lame) NHL day, OT/SO losses aren't losses. They are some kind of bastardized tie. - Scoob
The Hawks record is just as legit as the Flyers record because the Flyers' record did not have OT/SO games, they were just ties. If they had OT/SO back then, the Flyers probably would have lost a handful as well.
I will, however, only count this season, as the Blackhawks lost playoff games in between last season and this season. So if you count last year, it's only a "regular season unbeaten streak," as opposed to just an unbeaten streak.
seriously, Roth hasn't been able to sing for the last 20+ yrs - isaiah520
Dave couldn't sing in the 70's. He's really no worse now, he just can't hit the yelps and wails that he used to hit.
I went to the "(frank) Eddie" tour, back in 2002 or 03. It was Roth as the opening act and Hagar as the "headliner". Dave came out and did 99% old VH, with 3 or 4 solo songs mixed in. It was solid, but it was kind of like listening to a VH cover band.
Sammy came out and blew him off the stage. His band was far more polished, he sounded great and they put on a great show.
would this be an instance of having a press release which states the surgery was unsuccessful? - hammarby31
Yes. Very good point.

I didn't see it, I don't think I get that channel. Someday maybe I'll hunt it down. But yeah it's depressing. He's very much missed. His swagger, sense of humor, ability to wrap the media around his finger... All of that was just icing on the cake of a great player.
I used to watch for him to clear the crease. One of my favorite parts of his play.

Agreed completely. Both sides yes, but it seems to always be the guys you expect from the Flyers, what I hate is seeing the Pens top talent stooping to that type of play. Its shameful, I'd prefer to let the grinder grind and have the top talents from both teams just play hockey (Neal, Malkin, Letang specifically).
The sad thing is both teams are very good, and if they controlled their emotions it would lead to some pretty great hockey. Also sad are the fringe hockey fans (tons here, I'm sure in Philly as well) who think the high scoring nonsense is actually good hockey but with bad goaltending. - bri29smith
OOO how sweet, "both teams are very good" "great hockey" why dont you just shut it. Go buy a Giroux jersey, that would complete your transformation. I would rather be burned alive than say anything nice about the Flyers or the saddest fanbase in the histry of pro sports.

canadienspensfan posted it in the other thread....really sad stuff. He just seems to lack the cockiness that he used to have, that little swagger. He's having a really rough go, and you just have to hope he can get back to a normal life.

I said yesterday that Crosby's due to go off on the Flyers. He hasn't really torched them since 2009-10. His career numbers are staggering against us but the Flyers have been able to quell him this year (1 point in 2 games).

I'm a hockey fan, I like hockey. You're embarrassing yourself and other fans of your favorite team.

i was thinking about this this morning while watching the NHL network (tappen etc) continue to spend the whole show talking about how the blackhawks are the greatest team ever and i'm thinking - emery 10-0, carbomb with the winner with :50 seconds left, sharp, kane, the cup....and then they moved on to blow jeff carter and how great he's been for the kings this year....and i just go so (frank)ing mad. there aren't enough words. - hammarby31
Voracek - 24 GP - 10-17-27
Couturier - 22 GP - 2-5-7
Cousins
Carter - 21 GP - 15-2-17
Simmonds - 21 GP - 10-9-19
Schenn - 23 GP - 6-13-19
Grossmann - 24 GP - 1-2-3 (obviously obtained from a pick from the trade)
Richards - 21 GP - 6-10-16
I'm sorry, I loved Richards and I appreciate what they both did here but I'd make those trades again.

He's brought more to the table in three posts than you have in two years of trolling.
