1. If you guys want to give up on Briere, we'll take him.

2. What has happened to Couts? Guy killed us last season in the playoffs and now he's nowhere to be seen?

3. And whoever mentioned about getting Perry. Frank that. Perry is signing with the Penguins.

Kunitz-Crosby-Perry
Bennett-Malkin-Neal.

The players on the team are just not as good as some think they are.
Blame the coach and his attack system, sure, that's the popular thing.
There is some merit to this, but largely I see a different problem.
The players suck right now.

Briere had about 4-5 really good shots that he would typically bury.
Didn't get one close.

The game winning goal happened because Kimo can't keep the puck in the zone, falls down and and can't get back up the ice because he is slow/hurt/old.

Talbot has done nothing this season.

Gervais and Gusty are awful right now and shouldn't be playing more then 10-12 minutes a game.

Voracek is about the only guy that can control the puck for more then 2 seconds.

Sorry, it's not all on Lavi.

10 minutes in, and while the flyers have had a few real good chances, this has been a much tighter affair, as i expected. we'll see how it goes the rest of the way.

it's never completely the coach. I love Voracek. has been killing it for my fantasy team.

The problem is. You knew there was a significant chance the pens would be back in this game. I don't know how lava isn't in trouble

How? What coaching made them give up a 2-on-1 after losing a 3 goal lead?

The Coaches philosophies and system of extreme aggressiveness. 3 forwards were down below the circles around the goal line on the offensive side of the puck. A defenseman stands up on the play trying to keep the puck in. This is by design. And it happens over and over. With every player on the team. That tells you that it is being taught, and is not just bad decisions by players. It is what they're taught and Coached to do. Go back and look at the 3rd period in the Rangers game. You'll see the same thing.
Do you think that's a smart way to play, with a lead in the 3rd period? Or is how the Pens and Bylsma adjusted and played once they got the lead, the smart way to play. There are clear Coaching issue with this team.

Sure. Pinching in, but all teams do that. And bouncing pucks, not a lot a player can do about that.

Good teams are taught to read and react. And take what's there on the play. And they have a defensive checking structure to their game.
