In my head I agree with that, but what makes me think that you and I are wrong, is just about every ex NHL player disagrees when asked about having those kinds of players in the lineup.

I don't think him saying, "Follow the rules or you will not be able to use this" is so much a threat as him doing his job. You say threat like he's going to try to murder you.

I tend to agree with the players. I think if a guy has to stand up and fight he's reluctant to take liberties. There are very few individuals who really enjoy fighting. I know it hasn't eliminated dirty play but I think it contains it. I don't think you can remove Engelland from a Philly game without them taking complete advantage of that. We would have no one in the line up that would make someone nervous. I'd personally scratch glass and double shif Geno and sid and dress an extra defenseman

I liked this thread better when we were debating Penguins D Men and trying to figure out if the goal total would be over/under 20.

The Flyers really don't have anyone in the lineup that are out there just to fight. They no longer have Sestito, and Shelley is gone for the year.

Simmonds and Hartnell can fight (well, Simmonds can) but are unlikely to be drawn into being off the ice. And Rinaldo has done a good job this year controlling himself.
