I liked this thread better when we were debating Penguins D Men and trying to figure out if the goal total would be over/under 20. - thickman1178
Sit Letang for Engelland.
Move Crosby to D and skate 7 D.
Adams to the #1 PP unit.

I heard Vokun was moving to center to give Geno a run for his money. In response, Genos parents said they are lacing up tonight to be his wingers. |

The Flyers really don't have anyone in the lineup that are out there just to fight. They no longer have Sestito, and Shelley is gone for the year.
Simmonds and Hartnell can fight (well, Simmonds can) but are unlikely to be drawn into being off the ice. And Rinaldo has done a good job this year controlling himself. - FlyerGuy
I get that and we got rid of the Laraque type as well. With Engelland out of the line up we have no one. You have Hartnell, Simmonds, and Rinaldo I'd feel better if we keep Engelland in the line up for this one. The real test is to see if our defenseman can ignore rinaldo. Last game they were all out of position chasing that plug |

Posting a picture of Sidney Crosby does that? Grasp at some straws. You admitted it you dont like me. Dont write me up please, ill get a hall pass!!! - nbartley9
Nope, but these do.
as old as lets say 1975? - nbartley9
I could talk about your "fans" throwing batteries at players while they walk off the ice, thanks Philly for the protective Pope bubble they wheel out in between periods.
Or did you want to talk about beating someone into a coma after the Flyers Rangers winter classic?
Or maybe a good slice of your owner unloading the #2 goal scorer in the league?
How about booing a woman for dropping the puck, now thats a classy move.
I was just having fun posting a funny picture of Sid, no clue why you and your kind want to always have a fight. It was all in good fun. - nbartley9

You got me with that one. Little bit of trivia for ya, the Pittsburgh Pirates have won more championships more recently than the Flyboys. Im glad we get to play you a few more times this year since we wont have a chance in the playoffs. - nbartley9
yeah your right they dont, they just prefer not winning a Championship for the past 38 years. - nbartley9
Starting to get it now?
I'm done talking to you abou it. Start talking hockey (in any thread) or you're gone, and that's a warning, not a threat. |

Unfortunately their GDT isnt up yet for some reason. Id check right before the game but they usually have a few links of where to watch. If nothing else, go into their most recent post around game time and check the comments section. Somebody will post one--happens every game. |

I think the Penguins should let Kris Letang go to free agency. He's useless.

Just waive him. And Malkin; no use paying a guy so much money if he's not going to be your #1 center. |

Just you wait, he's going to turn heel and follow Max Talbot, come free agency. The entire Penguins fanbase will vomit in sync. |

i am so conflicted about letang anymore. he is so vital and skilled and i would love him around for the long haul, but the fact that hes going to be like a 6 and a half million dollar a year d man is going to hurt when you consider that even though offense is his specialty the powerplay is better without him and his mental mistakes |

This is a serious question for Penguins fans:
How do you feel about not having Max Talbot anymore? I know he dropped off in production and was a healthy scratch. But, the dude was pretty important in winning the Cup for 2 things:
- In Game 6, when the Flyers went up 3-0 he challenged Carcillo who (stupidly) fought him. The Pens quickly got energized, scored a quick goal, and went on to win the game/series. If they end up going down, there's a game 7 in Pittsburgh, and who knows what happens.
- Game 7 Detroit. Only 2 goals.
I know you can't live in the past in sports, but that guys was so key to that Cup win that I can't believe he was able to walk so soon after. |

In my head I agree with that, but what makes me think that you and I are wrong, is just about every ex NHL player disagrees when asked about having those kinds of players in the lineup. - rival22
I don't want to sound as if I'm discounting any ex NHL-players, but their calculation of value is likely considerably different. To draw a parallel it's similar to the Trout/Cabrera MVP debate this past year (i.e. definition of value, leadership not being a quantifiable trait, etc.).
In my opinion, if the main reason a player is in the line-up is to protect/fight, then he shouldn't be in the line-up. I mean there's a reason the game has moved past stereotypical 4th-line enforcers.

I would like to trade you some posters for Flyerguy. I'll pick like 7 names and you can just send Flyerguy and some cash to even things out. - canadianpenfan
I dont wanna be traded, I knew when I signed on with Metz I should have got a no trade clause in my contract. |
