You're not, you are hoping the Flyers are careful with is return, making sure they do not rush him back into another injury. So in reality you are actually looking out for Grossman's health. - walshy66
haha yes exactly. i only have his best interests at heart. he needs to be in tip top shape for then they go against the bruins. if it makes the night a lot easier for malkin then that is just an added bonus |

its one thing I will give the Pens fans on here, a player might walk for more money from the Pens, but we can at least understand and accept that they have done it for the money and not hold a grudge.
Same with Staal, 2nd favorite player, shattered he left, but totally understand why, cant pass up playing with your brother. - walshy66
yeah staals thing was obviously not about the money at all seeing as how it was an identical deal he signed. killed to see him leave, but not hard to understand why from his position. and yeah, seeing an emotional leader such as talbot go over to the rival is blasphemous, but christ. for the kind of money they dumped on him he would have had to be declared insane not to sign on the dotted line. always wish him the best of luck, just not tonight |

How did it go through? It's like that guy who quit playing and has Crosby, Lundqvist and Perry on the roster and just give them away. Not fair. I'm writing John Toperzer |

Talking about Edmonton. Anyone here would be willing to part with Despres + for Yakupov or Hall? |

I mean, I'm down with that deal, but I doubt that Tambellini would be.
p.s.- Just read the "+." Could change how I, or how Tambellini might feel. haha |

I doubt the Oilers will ever move Hall. He's the face of the rebuild right now since he was the first #1 pick they have had. They have based a lot of the new idea of the Oilers around him. |

I don't think they are going anywhere. If anything, I think they use draft picks to acquire a D man |

Apparently not enough votes to get this down
So how about Yakupov? I mean...Despres is known commodity since his Canada Team days. |

Not for Despres, another one of our prospects? Perhaps.
6'4 220lb defensemen that can skate and move the puck like him don't come around often. |

I don't want to trade Despres period. If it was the main piece in a deal for Eberle I could live with it. But there aren't many players i would part with him for. He's going to e a stud. |

I agree, the only factor that will hold him back from being a star is the head coach. |

Hard to understand how he's being handled right now, but he has lots of years ahead of him. |

Does anyone know who is scratched for today's game? I saw the practice lines were Nisk-Letang Orpik-Martin Engelland-Eaton Bortuzzo-Despres. I'm assuming this means Bortuzzo and Despres are scratched? |

It's like: you have to give up something to get. And we are talking about 1st overall picks. Despres is a pleasant surprise for all of us. I really like the guy and hope he stays.
Just touched on Yakupov and Hall's names because I don't think we could get Eberle on a Despres package. |

This seems to be the case. Fans have started a petition to pee test Bylsma (suspected crack user). |

if this team would stop Richarding around with him, i think despres is going to be an absolute machine. there literally seems to be nothing he physically cannot do on the ice. if they develop him properly he is going to be a hell of a player. id be very leery about moving him for anything other than someone like eberle right now. however, if the team can sign letang long term, id be open to them moving morrow or whoever from the d prospect ranks other than despres to take a flyer on yak |

Unbelievable. If a trade with Despres and/or Bortuzzo doesn't happen by the deadline, then something is wrong with Bylsma. You can't have your #1 D prospect get no play time. I mean Despres could possibly be the guy that lets us trade Letang. I'm trying to stay optimistic and think Shero will make a move with the defense that opens a permanent spot for Despres |

Where do I sign?
HCDB scratches Despres.
Sell My Monkey scratches head!
I think HCDB really believes his line up choices affect the outcome. And he is right, we lose more when Despres gets the press box. |

Is he just being scratched, or is he getting playing time down in the A or wherever? |

Nope he just gets scratched and then plays the next one or two. And he plays well, doesn't make any sense. One of the things I can't defend Bylsma for.
With all that said we won't truly know who's playing until the game starts. |

It was a trade for need on my end, I needed some offense, he needed a goalie. worked for both of us. To be honest Price has been sucking complete balls lately |

If I were anywhere near the game I would have a sign that read
LET DESPRES PLES!
