OK gang...signing off from FLA to help my wife put the munchkin to bed. Plus I have a long day of sitting on the beach to rest up for tomorrow. - Emperor Filonius

Neither team in this series can hold leads. Pittsburgh blew a 2-0 in the last game; Philly blew a 5-2 or was it 5-3 in the last game; Philly blows a 4-1 in this game.
No one can win in their own building either. Go figure.
I don't know what was said in the room after the first, but that was a solid 40 minutes of hockey by the Pens. Onto Toronto. - Oneonta Penguin
Did you hear the stat. I believe that makes the road team 18-5-1 in the last 24. |

(frank)ed if i know. I think both teams get too emotional when we meet and that probably affects the team with the crowd the most? |

If Voracek would have put as much effort into playing some defense as he did breaking his stick at the end of the game...the Flyers might have actually won. |

Unbelievable win. Not because 4 unanswered goals were scored, because we know the Pens can score, but because of smart hockey. They didn't let the score frustrate em. They played tough and gritty. Bennett, TK, Engo, Kunitz and especially Crosby and Martin all made some unbelievable plays to keep the Flyers off the board for the 2nd and 3rd. Shootout to Eaton and Orpik too for some good plays. They both took some shots in order to move the puck. Not an easy win but certainly a good one. Not complete, but a win. |

Pens have to take this win and run with it. It can't happen again. Its time to prove they aren't children and they can play how they KNOW they have to. |

No one wants to give TK any credit for a pretty solid game? Goal was a fluke, but he won quite a few battles, was diving to get the puck out of the zone, compete level was pretty high.
What about Vouky! Great bounce back effort in relief, not too many shots but he answered the bell when needed.
A big come back win, boys should feel good about it. Blysma should feel well sick that he keeps trying to lose by not dressing Despres haha.
Didn't notice Eaton at all which I think is a good thing. Maybe dress 7 d and sit Glass?
Finally what the eff can you say about Sid!!! Good gawd the man is on top of his game, danagerous every single shift. Gift wrapping goals to Duper and Kuni. |

Another sad display, can't argue that guy puts a pretty good whipping on us up on the score sheet. |

I agree, especially about Vokoun. He needed a good performance more than the team did. Now though it seems even more significant in hindsight. Truth is we need a solid bk up, for real. |

What makes this all the sweeter is that the Penguins came back on them for once. Finally a big win vs the Flyers when the chips were down. |
