I think only during a Pens/Flyers game can fans of both teams be clamoring for their coach to be fired. Was reading reactions from both teams threads and there were some very common themes on both. Obviously during different times of the night, but almost exact phrases mentioned on both threads.

Guys I got some bad news. And it's shocking.

Hemsky was hurt tonight.

At least it was blocking a shot, not sneezing or turning his head quickly.

Nice to wake up and realize it's not a dream. We did beat the Flyers after a very bumpy start. I too have a llarge yellow bottle of Merlot on my kitchen counter. And my wife orders 10.00 glasses of wine. Who the heck charges 15.00. Wow.

Well, bloggers in Edmonton (rightfully so) and Vancouver are bringing up new coaches for their organizations and then Pens and Flyers fans have been wanting to can their respective coaches this year, so ...

Jagr is 18 goals away from passing Mario.

If you take a peak at the top 30 point scorers of all time you might notice a statistical anonomly in the games played section. There seems to be only one player (hint: look in the top 10) who has not reached the 1000 games played plateau.

I find that amazing.

But Jagr is pretty awesome too. I feel bad for the people who can't get past comments from over a decade ago and enjoy watching him do his thing.

Stewart would def be a welcomed addition big power forward for the top lines. We need that. The flyers have that in Simmonds and Hartnell we need at least one.

Oh I'm not posting Stewart stuff for the Penguins. I'm being a jack ass about a fantasy hockey trade I was getting crap for.

The season he only played 60 games and won the scoring title pretty much shows how he did it. If only he had more games...

The most talented and determined hockey player all time.

Not sure why the Blues would want to part with him at this point.

Best individual season of all time. All due respect to Gretzky's 215 point year.

Wow 34 pages of obcenities, finger pointing, crying, cheering, bans, deleted posts, goals, and bad penalties. Nothing like a Pens vs. Flyers thread to reign in the wingnuts!

I can't remember who but they vehemently told me that Crosby would not be able to be a point/game player in a shortened season. I thought it was funny then but now, ha.

I think it was a Flyer fan if I remember correctly. Sid is playing out of his mind. Never seen him better. I haven't seen any player on any team look as dominant as he is right now.

I think the biggest bonus out of last night was the play of Bennett. The kid clearly has the talent, vision and skill to play with guys like Malkin and Neal. If he emerges as the permanent fixture on that line it should free up Shero to address the 3rd line issues.

Now.... If we could only figure out why Bylsma hates Despres....

Bare with me as I channel my inner NH as I know this is not feasible:

Acquire Jagr, bump Dupuis down to third line (this really is channeling NH isnt it?) and leave Bennett in the top 6. To me Bennett is a top 6 player regardless of what league it is. His skills and mind for the game translate into that kind of role. Could he get by in a third line role, meh, maybe. But you wouldn't be maximizing his best assets by doing that.

Quite a lineup at that point.

Yeah, i remember a few Pens fans said he would reach the 70+ point total this year, and a lot of outsiders said it wasn't possible. He is at 39 half way through the season. If he keeps playing this way he might break 80
