where he'll have a 14% greater chance of making the playoffs next season. mind numbing, the nhl leadership at times. mind. numbing. - hammarby31
Seattle will be getting a team hopefully. So that is one closer to evening out. |

he misses playing in Germany. - wilsonecho91
Of the players that played in Germany, only Simmonds seems to be playing well this year, and he played on a different team Briere and Giroux. Both those guys are both off their games this season (Giroux less so than Briere, but still underperforming).
I'm not so sure going over there and dominating a bunch of lesser players without having to work very hard was a great way to prepare for the NHL season. Neither of them seems to be putting in the 60 minute effort required to dominate, or even succeed in the NHL. Could be completely unrelated to their time in Germany, but I'm not a huge believer in coincidence. They both seem like they've lost a lot of the edge to their game, and Briere seems like he's lost his entire game. |

We should make him a Blue or a Bruin - Jsaquella
The Flyers are trying their hardest too. Throwing him out there for full 2 minute 5 on 3. Keeping him in the top 6. He has played himself into having no trade value forget the NMC! |

I always remember Briere as a pest and hard player to defend. What's going on with him? Has he lost IT? - Orpik44
He hasnt had it for awhile now. Crash landing this year though. Oh well he will be bought out soon |

Who is "least untouchable" for a trade: clearly not G, Schenn? Read? Jake? Coutourier? Simmonds? At the beginning of the season Coots was almost up there with G. Simmonds, Read, and Jake have played so well this year that they may be valued higher. Anyone? |

Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, B. Schenn, Simmonds, Read have the most trade value in that order IMO. |

I'd be looking to move Simmonds, hoping that someone is overvaluing him.
Although, he just signed a new deal and Homer may not be able to sign another player again if he keeps trading them right after signing them long-term. |

The Flyers played so poorly that TWO fan bases hated them last night. It was like camaraderie and peace fell on the rivalry. |

his numbers are mostly as a result of PP time. his even-strength numbers are meh, and he's not a very good defensive forward to boot. |

I would trade pretty much anybody if the other team would overpay. |

I guess I should rephrase saying that I would look to deal Simmonds to an organization that thinks he's having a breakout season (when he's not in actuality). |
